The first flowers I received

It was a Valentine's day back in 1992 when I received my first dozen of roses. I was in preschool during that time. Yes I was just a kid when I received my first roses. My mom says that this kid really likes me and I really don't care much about puppy love or crushes during that time. My mom and his mom and also our teachers are teasing us together. The kid's mom and my mother are good friends when they were in high school so they know each other well. We got separated because I was transferred to morning class and he was still in the afternoon class. But we became good friends when we reached grade 4 but we attended different high schools. Until now, we are still good friends, I'm not sure if he still remembers it but I can still clearly recall my first dozen of roses. Kindly share your stories about receiving your first flowers. Or if you are a guy, probably giving your first flowers to a girl.

Maybe someday you will be able to receive bunches of roses. Though roses are not my favorite but roses seems to be romantic and sweet. I love tulips and calla lily, the pink and white ones.

the first roses will be red roses only ,any one will wish them to get on the valentine day from his or her valentine. These memories can give a wonderful feeling of the past life ,however at least should be at the age of 18 so that they are mature enough for all such things.

My first roses is when I was a kid that's why I wasn't able to appreciate it. I'll probably appreciate it if it is chocolate instead. But my boyfriend gave me roses on a Valentine's day as well with pink and red balloons which is so romantic.

That is nice. I honestly do not remember when I received my first flowers. I have received a few over the years but I just cannot remember when the first ones were.

Wow! That's just so sweet, chiwasaki! His father taught him well on how to pursue girls. I was already in my high school when I receive my first rose. It was... I forgot what school party it was but it was on a February. It wasn't a Valentine's party. But the day after the party it was Valentine's day. My puppy love gave me a rose and that night, I also said "yes" to him. I waited for the clock to struck 12 midnight before I finally said "yes" because I wanted our anniversary to fall on February 14.

I see! I remember one of my co-workers of my mother who had a son who was of the same age as me. That co-worker tried to pair me with his son when we were still in grade school. But I did not like his son because he was too cute for me.

Anniversary on Valentine's day, that's sweet. Yes his father and mother taught him well. They are nice people and I visit them once a year because they are my ninong and ninang.

I received my first bouquet of roses during one Valentine's Day too. But I was the one who had asked a guy friend to buy me that. He even sent it to my house via courier service.

He must have a crush on you. A guy won't do that if they have no feelings for the girl. He must have like you but just shy to tell you.

Wow! this makes me reminisce of my past.hehe..anyways, it was during my college days too when i received a bunch of flowers. By ex-bf used to give me roses on every special event that we celebrated in our relationship. And it was such a wonderful feeling to receive those kind of gift from your loved one. I felt so special on those days. However, I didn't receive any flowers anymore from the moment we broke up. But until now I'm still longing to receive roses again from a special someone. :-)

Nice to know your reminiscences about Valentine ’s Day. We do not celebrate or observe Valentine ’s Day in this part of the globe.

We celebrate it here. But during Valentine's day, I usually bought flowers and chocolates for my mom and my grand mother. Flowers are really expensive during those season.

I used to receive flowers quite abit. Once I was working at an answering service and this guy that I was seeing brought me some flowers. He had gone to pick a rose off a wild rose bush and the entire bush came up out of the dry dirt. It was so funny! He brought the entire bush to me!

That is still sweet though he just literally picked the flowers. I remember my friend's dad who brought an actual pot of roses to my friend's mom when they were still lovers. We are really laughing hard when he told us that story.

I got mine while I was still in my elementary day because I use to look older and bigger than my real age. I was happy with the flowers but not with the suitor. Then again time and time again. Up to now I can still remember how each suitor gave them to me. It is really a sweet gesture.

In my case, I was not happy with my roses. I was young then and I don't know what I will do with it. I will appreciate if it probably food or candy during that time.

Hmm the first flower I got. It was probably from this senior student. He was a year senior than us and used to give me rose flowers occasionally. I never understood why coz we used to be like good friends, though I called him brother. We joked, laughed, talked with each other then one day someone told me he likes me and I was like

The first flowers I get were sent by my aunt. She was not allowed to have contact with us after my parents divorced (although she was my mother's younger sister and I lived with my mother at that time). She gave them to me because I passed my examn at high school there was a card attached to it with: congratulations and her familyname on it.. well the letters of her family name. they were written in a different way. I was smart enough to puzzle out which name was really written down their.

You are also lucky. You received two roses and probably these two guys like you. A very interesting love triangle. It will be more interesting if they are good friends because there will be a competition to the girl they like.

Roses - A sweeter way to say "I love You".
That's cute! Puppy love yes that one is. So how come you are just good friends? Anyway, I can't remember exactly when did I receive my first roses but they came from my first boyfriend who also became my husband. I felt really loved as I received the roses and how I wished they would not wither anymore. I'm glad he is a very thoughtful lover because he kept giving me roses. We have been married for 26 years now and could not longer remember the number of times he has given me roses.

I was 10 and I was in 4th grade. It was also Valentine's Day, but mine were plastic roses, but it came along with a bar of chocolate. I knew that this kid liked me since we were in pre-school. When we were kids, we would go Christmas caroling in their house every night because he makes his mom give us a lot of money. Then on his 7th birthday, he had this big birthday party hoping I would come since we were classmates. I really don't like that the other kids are teasing me about him so I didn't go. We live in the same village by the way. So when I didn't go, he just sulked the whole time so his mom packed up most of the food and sent it to my house. I guess the plastic roses was just the next step for him. But then, I just stuffed the roses in my bag and gave away the chocolates. He even sent the roses and the chocolates to my best friends during that time because he couldn't come up to me. It's so funny remembering all those things!

im turning 24 but believe me i haven't receive flowers yet. i did have a boyfriend. noticed the past tense? haha... he was my boyfriend for almost 5years and in that span of time never did i receive any flowers from him. not even he was still courting me.. i uess he didn't have a chance because i gave him the sweet yes days (5days to be exact) after his confession. thinking ,aybe he didn't have to give me flowers anymore that he came to the dicision not to give me flowers until the day we broke up. it be really funny if he gave me flowers of the day he dumped me. sad? yes it is but action is better than gifts in expressing your admiration and love towards that person. :) doing simple yet very personal things are far much better than flowers... i don't know with you guys but that is just me. but i am still a girl waiting to be lattered by the site and smell of flowers.. red rose are good but blue rose are the best as well as white tulips are wonderful but blue tulips are fantasy. at the site of those is equal to love and romance!

I got my first dozen of red roses when I was in 1st grade. The little boy was my friend who actually liked me. He had saved his change for several months and his mom helped him buy me a dozen of red roses. Today he is one of my best friends, and we are both very happy and married to other people.
