As you may heard it on the news about the incident happen in SM Pampanga last Sept 20, 2011 a 13 year old boy shot a 17 year old boy and after that he shot himself in the head. Some people blaming the security of the SM Mall on how thus a gun could into their security. But what really bothers me is the video that I saw from one the cellphones of my friend in which they caught the actual incident. And here is what surprised me, After the shooting the 17 year old boy is still alive and he tries to roll over and moves his feet, in the video I can see that there are lot of people who could help the boy and bring him to the nearest hospital. There is a policeman, the mall admins, the security guard, and some mall tenants. But none of this people tried to help this poor boy instead the police just stand beside the boy and staring at him while the mall admins and the security guards keep walking around it seems they don't know what should they do. The boy is still alive and need medical attention but it took almost 30 mins before he got some medical attentions. I searched for this video on the internet but none has been leaked. The mall admin even said to the one who is taping the scene that it is against the mall policy because it would damage their reputation. And I think that is the reason why there is none of this videos was uploaded in the internet. Tell me your point of view why is that this people did not give the boy an immediate medical attentions why he is still alive. Currently according to the news the boy is already in comatose but if only they bring the boy immediately that day he may not be in coma.

THE NERVE! What if it happens that he is their child? Are they still going to stare on it? What is that? Part of evidence so that they won't be accused of obstruction of justice? Tsk tsk!!! I hope that kind of irresponsibility can be complained to the authorities. I think that guy must be still alive by now.

At first that is what comes to my mind they were afraid to touch the boy because they might get sued by obstruction of justice but if you look closely to the video the boy needs an immediate medical attention and he is still alive he could be a witness and a victim if they would save him right? As I heard to the news today both of the two teenagers have passed away. God bless their soul and may they rest in peace. If only they do what is right maybe they could save that boys life.

That is what you called the Genovesse effect named after Kitty Genovesse. The idea is that all of those bystanders think that one of them will do something. In those cases one of them should command a specific person to do a specific task like calling an ambulance. It's really sad that most people doesn't voluntarily help someone in need.
