Life constantly on a daily basis presents us with struggles to face. Disappointments, broken hearts, misunderstandings, pain etc. Life is no bed of roses. What is the toughest thing you had to deal with in your life?

I have been through all of the things you mentioned up there but the one that took me the hardest was a heartbreak When i had broken up with my boyfriend couple years ago, it was so nasty. Even it was couple years back, when I think of it, i shudder. I was such a mess then but I am so glad my friends were there to pick me up through all that.

Do you mean if i am in a good relationship with my ex boyfriend? No, I am not and I think that is the saddest thing. We were real good friends before we fell in love but now we aren't even talking and don't think we are even friends.

The toughest thing I have dealt with as of now is my dad. We just don't get along. He does not respect me. He humiliates me whenever he could and never says good things about me. He always said that if ever I will get married then my husband will divorce in a week because I'm that bad. He is awful and can't wait to get out.

Hey, my growth experience may be similar as yours. I believe my father does love my brother and me. But he is a very strict peron and didn't say many good words to us during our growth. He usually decreased our confidence in words. I hated him once a time. And sometimes I even hated myself. But how to say? He is our father, he did try his best to love us. These're his limitations and he has no idea too. So we learn to understand him to try to love ourselves better. Good luck to you!

I am so sorry. I do not get along with my daughter right now either. She is making really bad choices in life and hates us no matter how much we do for her or love her.

I guess it is just the problem of communication way. Just express your love and try a new way that you both could accept to get along with her. She'll understand your love. Good luck to you.

I have to deal with a lier, a loser and a cheating boyfriend. I have had so much pain by this person. life is tough, feeling the pain is so much to bear, for so long... and well i think i can get over it and hopefully i'd be able to live free again, free of worrying, free of heartache and full of hope.

One of the biggest struggles that i have to struggle with everyday was when i was first diagnosed being bipolar 2, mamic depressive, boarderline personality disorder, adhd, ocd, and imsomniac. Each day poses a little of a struggle. It was really hard at first becaise nothing made sense i was on and off different meds and some of them cause a negative impact on my life or negative thoights i would have to deal with. The past year and a half has had its ups and downs and i will continuing struggling with these disorders for the rest of my life, but i keep a positive outlook on it all whoch helps be get threw the hard times with the diagnoses.

hi JosephP well will this do in Sept of 2008 my son was laid off. I am retired and lived with my son in a two bedroom apt. we got behind on the rent, were evictedc, and ultimately made homeless. finally after being shoved from one homless shelter to another my son put me in here fro my safety at my age82 and I an a diabetic and this is aretirement center which i pay for out of my social security and ssi checks. my son is six miles away in hope haven apts for men out of work, he now has a part time job and he comes to see me each week so l ife has not been kind to either of us. but its better than floating around on the streets we were just like any other American middle class family and we had no saving as the rents here in California are outrageous,1200 dollars a month on a ratty two bedroom apartment.

That's a difficult question to answer. As all disappointments and pain are normal emotion for human. Actually I believe animals have these feelings too. It is said in psycholigy books that when we encounter all the feelings, just realize that they're normal, let them in and let them go. The toughest thing in my life, I don't know at present. I'm thinking about my career life now and don't know how to move on.

The toughest thing I have had to deal with, was the loss of my dad when I was 13. I am dealing with something else right now that is very close to that also, but i just do not want to go in detail. I will save that for another discussion.
