Playful Kiss is a South Korean drama that is based on the popular Japanese manga Itazura Na Kiss by Tada Kaoru. The story is about a high school girl named Oh Ha Ni (Jung So Min) who is in the bottom of her class has had a crush on popular and genius male student named Baek Seung Jo (Kim Hyun Joong) ever since she saw him on the first day of high school. I finished watching this series since I'm a big fan of the anime where it was originally based. Anyone seen this series? Kindly share your opinions about this.

The Taiwanese actor who played the Irie-kun is great. I have seen him in another Taiwanese series with the same leading lady. I heard he's a very good friend of Mike He, the actor in "the devil beside me".

Korean and other Drama series from Taiwan and China are good to watch. I also have watched the "Playful Kiss", its the Korean version of "It's Started with a Kiss" (?????) of Taiwan, whose the main actor was Joe Cheng and Ariel Lin. "Itasura Na kiss", "Playful Kiss/Mischievous Kiss" and "it's Started with a Kiss" are great to watch. And if you want to watch other beautiful Asian Series, you should also try to watch "Secret Garden"(??? ??) starring Ha Ji Won and Hyun Bin. It is another Korean series. They are lots of them to watch and I'm sure you will enjoy them.

Playful Kiss sounds like a very good series. I answered this because I was happy to hear that there are really such good series on foreign television. I have been curious as what type of programs were on foreign television. Sounds like a regular story we would hear anywhere in the world.

Yes the story is just a regular one with happy ending. But the story before they live happily ever after is really exciting. It is about holding on to an impossible love or love story that will only happen in dreams.

I totally agree with you. The story is very light and enjoying. It will bring back memories from your high school life. That scenario often happens to high school girls. Having crush on someone who is very out of reach.

Here in the Philippines, manga is a fruit. It is the Filipino version of mango. Almost all Filipinos love to eat manggos specially the green ones.

My wife used to watch this series so I don't have a choice but to watch along. It has it's funny moments like when Hani displays her childish tendencies and make a mess out of that. BUT it contaibs the cliches that I hate most especially the snubbish popular guy an the nobody girl being inlove. Hate it. How can Korean guys be that popular? I mean, Jelo is just a student but he is very well known. Absurd!

In real life, the actor who played Jelo is a very famous singer and dancer. He went here in the Philippines about a month ago. There's a lot of Filipino who likes him.

Hi chiwasaki! I did not watch that series. I have watched a few episodes of the Taiwanese version and I did not like it much. It just seemed like it was a one-sided attraction and the girl always get taken advantage of the boy. Although I know, the guy will developed feelings later on for the girl, I could not wait for it. So when I learned that there was a Korean version of it, I was not interested.

I like the Korean version than the Taiwanese one. However nothing beats the original anime. Itazura Na Kiss is my favorite. I watched it for almost 3 times already.

Yes I have all the time in the world to watch series. But probably by next month, I won't be able to watch it anymore. I'm planning to work already so I won't be able to watch American, Korean, Taiwanese and Japanese series anymore.

Now that you've mentioned it, it really brings back my old days where I spent all my time on Crunchyroll and just watched Asian dramas all day long. Most asian dramas are based on popular anime series. When I was younger, I use to love anime and Japanese stories and animation. I would also read those comic books called manga as well. I don't watch anime anymore, I like the old ones better the new ones I reckon are too similar to each other and don't have a unique story line. I like Korean dramas, my Mum adores them and she watches them almost everyday!

Playful kiss is a good drama. It was said that this drama also according to Taiwan Drama, They Kissed Again. When I saw the drama, and yes, it was just the same. But Playfull kiss didn't follow all. And still, I love this drama. The one played as the main female character, I think she wasn't pretty but cute. And actually I am not a fans of Hyun Jong. ... Hahaha :)

The story is light but it is a nice series. I like the anime version though. But I prefer the Korean series than the Taiwanese one.
