the wheels of the Gods move very slowly but they finally do grind
exceedingly fine. after a year at 93 percent on my red star I have moved one whole point, so some of you are really doing the rating like we should so thanks much. its sort of nice to see a different figure there for a change even if it slips back at least for one day I have seen it at 94 percent.Who says rating plus does not work as it just showed to me it does.But I still see some of my friends losing points so the gremlins or trolls I guess are still hitting the minus key when they should not. being mean is so stupid.trolls go home.Its a funny thing those older ones here with blue stars and 99 percent are always saying oh I don't look at my star, I don't care that much. oh yeah well let someone move it down they will scream just as loudly as anyone else.for today I am happy to see it move up as I began to think it was a lost cause.

HwG getting lazy here now. am hungry and its not q uite dinner time. we have dinner at four in the afternoon, I have been so good'at
keeping my blood sugar down I now get super hungry so suck on a hard candy as this summer and fall they take foreer to get our meals to us, short on kitchen staff I guess. ordinarily it would not 'bothere me but since they doubled my medication I get so hungry this time of
afternoon, lo l.yes its so easy to becomplacent when you have 99 percent and a blue star but knock igt back and they get upset too. so we are all human. lol lol

Yes Mrs. Hatley it is best for anyone to not concentrate on their stars and always continue with their quality participation's, as you have proven. Sad that the DRS is mis-used here and usually affects the wrong members.
I have fluctuated between 9 & 10 as well days apart for lengthy periods and do know the feeling as it was not deserved, but what else can we do outside of remaining true to ourselves, which you are also doing.

oh the last three years have really taught me p atience as I never ever expected to be in a retirement place or wanted to be as a
matter of fact. my son had now got extra hours so we are hoping
that he will be put on full time. if that happens I may bet to move out of here but for now its okay here. A l ot of the wo rkers here are just really so sweet but the food well live and learn. lol we all keep supplie sin our rooms. lol.yes dia na I noticed you have not been here as much too.

My reputation has been stuck at 87 for yonks, so I see no hope whatsoever of ever reaching that coveted blue star. I'm not so sure I altogether agree with the ratings system. Some people post darned good eye-opener discussions here - a lot more worthwhile than "how can I make more money." But stuff like religion doesn't score so well with trolls so those members probably get negative scores. It's the only way I can see for someone only having a three next to their name.
Whoops - is that an 86 I see looming? Still more than I scored for my school maths exam, anyhoo. So am I bothered?
Well, maybe a bit.

hi jazzsue yes its so sad that we get stuck and that some here misuse that minus sign I r eally think they should chuck that as its too much of a temptation to meanies here who are jealous of
anyone with blue or red stars. our reputations do figure in with the earnings algorithm according to the guidelines so red is good too.' maths oh my G I had s uch a time in school with math ezam and I was a hundred percent in English so go figure. lol

I was here 2 years before I even realised there WAS a ratings system! Before that I was with DooYoo, but left cos it was obvious there was a little "clique" of members constantly getting gold "crowns" (kind of like the stars system) for what was quite often poor quality content.
On that site, though, you at least had to come clean about why you neg rated someone. It got quite inflamed at times, but it avoided trolling.

You deserve the red star and I don't understand the rating system either.
I was down to a 9 and now(I think) I'm back up to a 10...not sure, and if it is, ok, if it isn't, ok LOL
Still some members stay on mylot and I don't ahve that kind of time, but you are great at it ,so keep it up !

hi quita dont feel bad I have now got down to 60 some myself.lol
so I cannot make too many discussions as i need to respond too
it seems the bigger number after your name the harder it is to raise your percentage and your star,.i once was blue but at least red is good too. I have a lot of time as I am retired
so have not much money but lots of time on my hands. lol I did
not notice but some have been losing points so there's trolls
still around. I cannot fathom the meanness of some who love
to minus people why are they doing this?What fun is it to hurt
p eople's earning ability. the higher the star the more you

The happiness received now when our score is increasing is for the recognition this community of members give and also the feeling that "I am liked" by the members.

I'm glad your star is getting back to normal. The trolls should know that when they go around nagging folks they are hurting their own reputations. There are some trolls here but we do have some super heroes also who counter the trolls' attacks. I'm glad we have some good folks to take up for the people who get attacked.

hi pointlessquestions yes me too as those trolls are just plain si k or stu pid, I was onehundred percent blue when I first came and was
trolled down to fifty so I contacted admins and they caught the two men who hated me for myblue star and for my discussion that smoking was bad for your health., the admins told me the men bragged about bu t did not know they were going to be permanently kicked off mylot. I got back to red and thats where I have stayed.
seems the two men admitted they stayed up for 24 hours minusing everything I had ever posted.

Isn't that just plain crazy. What a waste of their time and energy. They must not have and anything else to do. We should feel sorry for such low lifes as that. I said should.. but I don't. They get what they deserve.... I'm glad they can never get back on. There are others that do that minusing too... that person attacked me too .. the same one that attacked you recently, I heard. I think things have calmed down now though.

I used to have the coveted blue star, but a few years back when trolls were on the loose, my rating slipped and I received the red star that I've had ever since (or at least since my last login!). I think it was perhaps because I was friendly with some very controversial members who were being stalked by trolls and were quite verbal about them? It was weird too--I was on a real tear too! I went through a period where I had at least one discussion a day in the "featured" email sent to members (some days more than one!), and numerous "Best Responses". Back then, I was also earning a minimum of $.50 USD a DAY.
Now, I'm lucky if I respond to one discussion a week anymore. Just not finding anything that interests me more than what's going on in front of me nowadays.

It appears that you have to have a rating of 96 or above to have a blue star. I wonder why that is?
I think the ratings system stinks--those really thought-provoking discussions should garner higher ratings, but I doubt it.

I've been stuck on 89 forever...and I doubt that it'll ever go up. I'm not really going to stress over it either--not worth it. I can't recall giving anyone a negative rating in a long time--if someone disagrees with me, unless they post a thoughtful response. I don't bother even giving them a rating.

hi scorpio yes I think you are right as 95 can go red or blue so get to 96 I went through that with the trolls and never did get back to blue as I had 100 and that teed off these two guys i guess they did not like elderly woman and women who made a discussion about smoking being bad for your health. I went from 100 percent to fifty percent over night so I contacted mylot and they caught these two men who stayed up all night minusing everything I had posted.the guys bragged about it to admins who then banned them from mylot forever which I guess they did not expect. now it seems the trolls are after two newbies from India who are doing just great, maybe'
jealousy, they are horrid, I wish that the admins would get rid of the minus key or make people say why they hit minus so if it was not a good call mylot

Congratulation! yes, it does work with patience. I know and everybody knows too your blue star is long overdue. Your consistency, quality posts and the gigantic figures besides your name is a blue star quality and worthy of the most coveted prize trophy in mylot. One point increased is a sign that you are next in line to be upgraded to the elite blue. Wish you all the best.

yay. very good. ive seldom rated anyone though. once in a while i remember but usually i have more pressing problem to deal with. like getting to pay out finally this month since i missed it last month and am still racing to feel like doing enough to get there. maybe i would freak out if i saw my star go down. but usually i forget to look. which might be a good thing, as i dont need any more worries at this point@Hatley (163776)

hi I hav e been struggling to get to my goal this month as time seems to speedup by now I need twenty five but only have 17 so far wow months almost gone too, how are you doing? things still looking good I hope? Iknow its hard to be on here with what you have been coping with as it w as when I was injured. I even asked the physical therapistsif I could have some time on their computer but it was against the rules to let a patient use them so they were very sweet about it.yes it is a good thing not to get too hung up but still we get paid better the higher our reps so red and blue pay us better.I was so startled to see that 94 wow.well one step at a time. I will keep my prayers c oming towards you and yours so you will be ca freee. mylot prayers are very strong. lol yess mylot was the least of your worries I know. hugs from hatley

I have always rated mylotters comments, responses and discussions and I have always had around 97-99 percent myself but have no idea what I am supposed to do to get that incy wincy bit more to push it into the triple figure hahaha I have come across the odd mylotter who has made it but they are few and far between and that was about a year ago when I saw the last one!

heard the humbug joke? these two anatomy students had taken apart several bugs, no they were bug students, cannot remember the word I want, but they decided to play a joke on their bug prof. so they put a recorder on to hum then they took two bugs apart and glued them together, now the prof comes in and they are all excited prof we have found a really new bug come see, tell us the name of it please" so he looks very professorish and puts on his glasses as they turn up the hidden recorder that's just humming. " it hums too what is this bug prof?" He smiled and looking solemn said"oh that's easy its a humbug." okay my husband was the one guilty of that joke humbug.but it was a bug and it was humming. the students realized their prof was one very smart

hi voldrox okay will do but hope I do not turn blue literally. lol
I had my blood pressure taken the other day it w as 126 over 66 which was good as I have high blood pressure but she said my heart rate was 44 which I said no that is a glitch Iam usually 8o so you have an error there, at 44 I would be hard put to even walk around.I just took my own pulse it was 70 so I am o kay.thanks for your support. love you back.

hi I know I have too large a number after my username for it to move up one but I was already happy so am now happier too. I enjoy mylotting more every year though health has taken a big bite out of my 'computer use this year. I missed a little over a month so far this year, A bad fall put me in rehab for 20 days and still have some problems with mny right knee but at least I can walk again. lol

oh those canthelp its are awful. well welcome back yoyo I am so behind on responding to my friends as I was working on my comments wish I could be two people ing one sometimes.i was ill for two days and things backed up on me. I do not always respnd to all my friend discussions if I for example dont know a thing about cricket and some other sports either so I do not want to make an a.s.s. out of myself but if it interests me then I do respond as much as i can.I was surprised once I started rating as I respoinded at how little time that took so now I just do it as a habit. one point up after a whole year it is moving up lol lol I am fine now as long as i keep my carb count down and my blood sugar even. lol

Congrats on getting there Missy! I look at it once in awhile but really don't care anymore. I am at 98 and I check it but it never moves. Ugh! I think that alot of members aren't rating and aren't in the habit. It is aggravating! I do it everytime and have since day one.

LOL...it is easy to say I guess when the score is high on the star. I never thought I was going to move from the red one. If suddenly my star rating started to drop..I would wonder...I couldn't help it. I would wonder what I did wrong or who was mad at me. Since the star rating is part of myLot, it is hard not to pay attention to it. I think that everyone should rate and that they also shouldn't rate negatively just because a response or discussion is not in agreement with their personal opinion. I think that negative should only be pressed if a response is abusive. That's just my opinion though.

I deeply believe that Mylot administrator may intervene in such a thing where some people randomly hit the minus key when they should not,otherwise people who are hitted have nothing to do but grin and bear it.I see no reason why some people are to the point of doing such thing.
