I really want to practice my English!!

Hi Lisa. You can only learn so much from a classroom and from books. The best way is to talk with a native speaker and spend some time in the country. That is not so easy though, of course. I used to go to touristic people and met people came from every country. I knew that learning by doing systematically could improve your ability. You have to speak on your own and be confident with it. I always stood up in front of the mirror and keep practicing the word I have just memorized as often as possible, If I have gotten a chance, I always used the time with bravery I had to speak to him or her even if I met them on the bus or on the street.

You can very much improve your writing skills on here. It has helped me a lot. And not just my writing skills but thinking and making sentences too. i think what to write and make it grammatically correct and as error free as I can.

Hi Lisa. I believe listening real English is very important too. There are online a lot of online platforms where you can find people talking in English. Usually I love to read in voice. I believe by reading we can improve our vocabulary. All the time we can discover new words, idioms, expressions so on. Writting is same time important. Depends what do you want to improve first. For myself very important is to pronounce very well English, to communicate and to understand others. Listening is my first point. Try to listen all the time when you have free time. Listen real english, tv, radio, podcasts. Then you can try to talk. Read in voice. That can help too, very well. Hope to find you somehow online to talk more about improving English. It is weird that many people are not proud of their own languages but think English is the language they must learn and speak. Whereas it is probably the most widely spoken language in the world, it doesn't make it better than other languages in my opinion.

Do you know which is the world's most widely spoken language?its chinese.english comes only in third position.but english is treated as the global language.for business purpose and diplomatic talks mainly english is used.english emerged as the global language because of the british colonialism.china has never been under any colonial power.so you people won't know that.i salute chinese people for that.anyway you go ahead with your english learning programme.all the best.

You just need to 'duo du, duo ting, duo xie and duo jiang'. You can also buy a good English dictionary to help you.

Hi Lisa. There are just three secret words which can help you very much to improve your English: practice, practice and of course practice. Now by internet you can find a lot of ways to practice English: talking, reading, listening, all the oportunities are opened for you. I was able to learn English in just 3 weeks because of the internet and people who really want to help, to improve their English. I am sure if you will listen a lot people talking even online your English will improve fast. Finaly the answer is: practice ;).

yeah , dont be sad dude !!! the best thing that you can do is that you can watch movies or the read different articles on the internet and when you dont understand a word then you open dictionarry and see the meaning for it .. sometimes, it becomes too boring when tou are learning from books .. so thatsy you can use techniques . really my lots of friends have improved english like this

I am also a chinese college student.My english is just so-so like this.I just find this website.In fact,there are many websites that we can learn english through like facebook and so on.But some websites like facebook are sealed.Although we can surf the websites through web proxy,that is not convient.Mylot is a good website.Not only can we learn english through mylot,but also can make maney.It is to kill two birds with one stone.Just have fan!
