Yes, you should consult a vet. And you should always take care of your dog's eyes. Clean it regularly. I always do that to my dog. I am wiping his eyes with a tissue for more than 5 times a day.

Any abnormality noticed should not be neglected. It would be better if you consulted a vet about this. So you have a Labrador. They make lovely pets with their gentle behaviour.

Yes, you need to take him to the Vet. He could have an eye infection, or worse, he could have ingrown eyelashes. In any case, you could be causing him a lot of harm by not taking him to the Vet.

Hello Veronica and welcome to myLot! If the puppy has this irritation for more than one day, you should take him to the vet because there might be an infection that, left untreated, can only become worse. You should visit the vet anyway, for giving the puppy his first vaccines and deworming pills. Why did you take him so early from the litter? A puppy should stay with his mother and siblings until he's 7 or 8 weeks old (at least!).

Tears in the dog's eye are not normal so you need to consult your labrador dog to your vet doc.My labrador dog had a tears in her eyes for days also and then i decided to take her to the vet. It was the vet actually who told me that it is not normal for dog to have tears for more than a day. Our vet gave her some eye drops given twice a day for 4 days.
