Both my parents have thyroid problems . Mom is taking thyroxine sodium sodium tablets 25 mcg while dad 5
mcg . Still dad has pain in hip joint and legs accompanied by fatigue . Mom is losing weight and unable to sleep at night . Both are in their 60's . Do any of you have any suggestion ? Please share your views and experiences .

Thyroid disorder can be very menacing. A disorder of the thyroid will automatically throw off other bodily functions. While good nutrition and a beef up in iodine in diet from nutaral sources will help, I advice you get in touch with Houston's doctor Stephen Hotze, a specialist in treatment of thyroid disorder.

You can try Ceragem or Nuga Best - they are the best in thermal therapy. Search the internet, call them and ask how they can help your mom and dad about their thyroidism. Don't worry, they won't charge you a penny once you decide to have them treat your parents.

Hi Lolly,
I wish your parents good health. I think are taking good medicine but the dose you are talking about your father, seems very less, as I know, this medicine normally has 25/50/100 mcg of doses. I think you should consult your doctor for more details.

Thanks informer . I am sorry . I typed wrong . Dad is taking 100 mcg . The endocrinologist had given the medicine after checking their TSH levels .

I have a friend who has hyperthyroidism. she lost a lot of weight and her body shook all over. the doctor gave her medication and after a few months of taking them her condition improved. Her levels are still not normal but according to her last check up it almost is.
Give the meds some time to do their job. If your doctor's prescription is correct then they will get better

I would advise them to go and see their doctor. I see a specialist who is a doctor of internal medicine. It sounds like tehy might have to have blood work done to check their levels, and have their medicine adjusted to help them feel better.

I took them to an endocrinologist a month ago . Their doses were adjusted as per blood level tests . But sad to note nothing improved.
Thanks for your response have a nice day !

My mother got thyroid cancer so I know something about it. Both of your parents should go to doctor and have some blood tastes specially to measure their thyroid hormones levels. Also I would suggest scistigraphie of bones to see if there is no osteoporosis. After that doctor will see what kind of medications both of your parents should take.
