As i see some of my friends went to their prayer places to worship god. As they told me one day because i asked them what they pray to god since they are going everyday for their sacred places. As one of my friend told that he prayed for his family and his relations to be good in future as its quite natural. I asked him why dont u pray for others to ask god all members happy. He argue with me everyone should pray for themselves. Do u pray for urselves or for all the peoples in the world?

I think it is proper to also pray for others as that shows that we are concerned for all of God's family which is the whole human race. I look forward to the day when we are all united and caring for one another instead of being selfish and hurting and even killing our fellow humans, our brothers and sisters.

As peoples are more possessive about their blessings to god. Sometimes peoples wants their wish to be satisfied even their wish is wrong and cruel. As my friend always says that he is only living for himself.

Yes there is no fault for caring for others. Even they are happy or not we can make others happy by caring and praying for them. We cant stop the future but simply if we pray for disabled ones it would make a way for u to heaven.

When I pray, I first thank the Creator for all that He has given us. Then I pray for all of those I see around me who are suffering. I also say Prayers of thanks before and after meals to thank for the gift of sustenance. There is too much to be thankful for to make demands of the Creator for personal gain...

Personal care is more important that people thinks about in their prayers. Once my friend as he had no time for praying for others and his problem is too more to explain to god. So there is no use of praying others. But he had cheap feelings i think.

Hi naseemkum, First of all, I don't believe in God in the sense that many people do, so I don't think that such a being would either desire or want our worship. I do pray affirmatively, seeing the best outcome for all concerned. While prayer helps us and can bring about changes in human consciousness, there is no 'God' that decides whether or not to answer our pleas for mercy. Pray for everyone by envisioning a better world, free from war, hatred and hunger, and where everyone is seen as an equal. Blessings.

Yes its good for praying for others it wont take enough time in ur prayers. It wont make sense that if we ask that our prayer makes others happy if its makes ourselves happy then why cant others too.

hi there! that is quiet sad to hear. personally, it is actually great and fulfilling if we pray for others too. even for persons you dont know, like when you are walking on a street and saw a man who badly needs prayer wont you even say a small prayer for him? thats what i often do, even when i meet a stranger on a road and he or she seems so problematic i would say a small prayer that whatever problem he or she is undergoing God would be there to help and guide him/her. i do hope your friend would be able to realize and feel the difference of having to pray for someone :)

I always include others in my prayers. Praying is communicating with our Creator. We praise Him, thank Him, ask something from Him through prayer. Praying for oneself is selfish. One of the greatest commandment is to love our neighbor. Being concerned and interested about their welfare is something we can do to show love. Wise King Solomon prayed for others. Jesus Christ prayed for his followers.

Yes that what a best point. We have to love our neighbours and there is no fault for praying for themselves as they should also live a happiest life like us.

Prayers can be for anybody. I usually pray for myself, my family, my friends and relatives and for my spiritual brothers and sisters. It is definitely selfish if one will only pray for himself.

U and my friend saying the same thing. He told that everybody has their own prayers. Everybody should pray for themselves. We cant pray for men who lives in 6th house of our street. He concludes as he only pray for his families and relatives not for world peace or for other non related peoples.

Hello Naseemkum. I personally pray for everyone. Take for instance, if you are a seller, you also pray for your buyers so that they may be able to sustain their fruitful life. If you are a doctor, you not only pray for more wisdom to cure your patients but you also pray that your patient would be optimistic of his health.
