Movies running slow

I always watch movies online but lately I noticed that in the middle of watching a movie in a streaming website like novamov or videoweed, the movie was becoming more and more delayed (or lag). Is it an issue with my Internet or is it something that these websites need to fix on their end? Do you know how to fix it if ever?

I had to increase my internet speed when I changed to internet tv and streaming. Mine would constantly lag and reload. It was so annoying. You might want to price out an increase in your internet speed.

Hi. Thanks for your advice. As much as I would like to increase my Internet speed, I cannot because I am watching these movies in my office. I don't know what their Internet plan is. LOL! But yeah, whenever I watch it at home, I'll try to see if it runs better on a faster Internet speed.

I noticed this alot too with sites like that. I wasn't sure if it was my connection or the sites but now I'm currently using the Netflix 1 month free trial and all of the movies take about 10 seconds to load and then you can watch the whole thing without it having to buffer or anything so it must have something to do with the site.

It's possible that it's your internet connection, you are from the Philippines and we just experienced a terrible typhoon, there's a lot our service providers have to fix, in fact I just got to log in at mylot because mydsl was down for hours, it would connect and slow down again, so is the other telephone so I called up pldt and they will repair it tommorrow, even the cell phone and cable t.v. signals are acting funny, I asked some of my relatives and friends in order to compare and they have been experiencing the same.

for novamov and videoweed..yes..it lags after several viewwing..especially if you are using chrome or molzilla.. (these browser has built in plug ins that sometimes slowed down the graphics..)
so i suggest change to stream using Megavideo..or putlocker..or sockshare..
or use the explorer browser..for ur streaming purpose..

Could be your internet or your computer or just the website. My computer is old and it lags a lot so when I'm in a middle of a good movie, my computer will start to lag a lot and then the video just stops. It really gets annoying but after a few minutes my computer stops lagging. I usually watch movies on 1channel or letmewatchthis but or some reason now the site is down. I can't watch anything! And it's my school break to and I'm just at home bored, not knowing what to watch online because the site doesn't work. But there's always youtube and watching short little videos.

I don't think its an issue of your internet connection because I am also experiencing that also. That's why I don't watch online movies anymore in novamov or videoweed. They use to be very good, but I don't know what happen. I would really prefer to watch via PutLocker, but I always get this message that I've exceeded the allowable usage in my current location. WTF?

I feel this issue is due to traffic. Lot of people watching at the same time. Sometimes it may be the problem of your internet connection or your firewall or maybe the browser too. Check all these. Clean the cache. Trying using a different browser.

It can be an issue of traffic, if there are a lot of users watching the same thing, it will also be slow to load. It can also be the internet connection on your part so we cannot actually pinpoint which one is the culprit.

Try to download the movie first to avoid lag or buffering.
I always download the movie from the net before watching it to avoid such problem.
I don't like it when it starts buffering..so to avoid it, better download the whole movie and watch it later.
have a good day

There could be 3 problems.
One is that your connection is low. It may be something temporary or it may be some hardware / software problem. You should check if drivers are updated and also if the physical connections are good.
Second is that in very rare cases site may experience difficulties, as the hosting server may have web connection low. Yet that is not something happening often.
Third is the most complicated. And is .. nobody's fault. Is about the signal route. You may need to know some basics about, but briefly, signal from server to your pc doe not go straight. It may find a clear path to reach destination after ging round the world or a straight line, yet it will cross anyway some middle servers acting like a .. triage. There is not only your signal coming thru - tons of signals going up and down same time and gate sometime is so crowded it slow down some to let others go faster. There is nothing you can do.
However, here's two tricks that may help you to get out from a such situation:
1- refresh the page with the movie. This may reset the signal route or ranking higher a priority; also this may help site's server to end the lag is in there side.
2- open the movie then pause it. Let it stay in "pause" until is all loaded in your pc (in Temp folder is going usually) then it will be played "local", still require one web connection but not so big bandwidth.
Good luck
