this is it! after 3 weeks of pressure i have come up with my second discussion.
first of all i would like to extend my thanks to my good friends here in mylot for encouraging me to come up with more posts(you know who you are) thank you guys!
so guys, what activities would make you lose track of time?
there are certainly a lot of activities that would surely make us lose track of time like: chitchatting with friends, spending time with one's partner, movies, facebook, online games, our hobbies, sports and many others.
recently, i have found myself addicted to mylot to the point that my butt would ache from sitting the whole day. and if ever i have appointments that day it would always be 30 minutes delayed because i have extended hours mylotting!
now, i am not employed yet so i am spending most of my time here.
This site is very interesting since you've got to read and write then you earn unlike when you spend your whole day facebooking! well, thanks to our instructor who recommended this site.
so how about you guys? what activities would make you lose track of time?

I would have to say playing sims3. I never knew it hurt to sit too much till this game came out. I have actually placed my computer screen and keyboard upon a lazy susan. So when i get tired of sitting i can turn the screen and stand up. I continue playing when im cooking eating and washing dishes. They just cant live without me. On the other hand they are always waiting for me to return.

Thats sims social on facebook. That one is ok. But the sims3 is a must. I made 4 alien couples all living together by stoneyfalls in a huge mansion. So now they are gonna come out with the pets. expansion pack. 8 people is the max you can have in a household. So then i built 3 more huge mansions and moved a couple into each one. So when the pets comes out they can get pets. One night while building a mansion and getting the couple set up in it. I was playing and noticed the news come on and go off. I just kept playing then started feeling sleepy so i shut the game down and saw it was 2am. I hate it when i quit the game and it always ask, "are you sure you want to quit?" because im sure i dont want to quit but i must.

actually i have the same addiction recently.
Sims3 on Facebook would keep me from being active in mylot.
sometimes i would force my hand to cancel the game so i would do more here.
that game is really addicting!
and true! they can't live long without us!
good for you you have that kind of thing.when i feel like lying i would still go find some soft place to lie down and that's away my computer.(sad)
thank you for sharing here Jd!
have a nice day!

Arguing with my teenage son if you can call it as one activity. Everyday, as I explain to him the good and bad ways of him, my do's and don'ts for him. I spend so much time trying to catch him of his whereabouts, he does not know how to say bye when he is leaving the house. And so good I have my outlet, mylotting.

He is a sweet boy, only I just can not concentrate with what I am doing because I feel worried about him. I keep on loading his cell phone just to make sure he will not make it an alibi that he can not reach me. Anyway, Mylot subsides my worries. And so my son forces me to do my myloting to forget just even for awhile that he is away from home.

wow! that's a stressful activity.
well, maybe teenagers are just busy growing up then they forget that they are still dependent on their parents.
my sister is like that too.she would not say "bye" whenever she would go out of the house and when my mother would look for her later she would find that my sister has already left.
with me, sometimes i would appear like i'm not listening to my parents.
but i am listening it's just tiring to be listening to repeated reprimands.
anyway, i hope your son will not make you mad anymore. thanks a lot for responding!
happy mylotting!

Hi shanemae!
I usually watch movies or dramas to pass idle time. Sometimes I chat with friends (and even with not friends), sometimes I play computer games, sometimes I just play and chat with my little niece and nephew.
I am also addicted to myLot, I like reading about other people's experiences and opinion and I like sharing mine. But sometimes I get bored with myLot, too especially if I can't find a discussion that interests me. When I get bored with myLot, I play a game in Facebook. But if there's no internet connection, I pass the time with movie watching or browsing through my pictures. Yesterday, I passed the time by creating a design for a t-shirt.

I'm not really into t-shirt designing. I just create designs sometimes when I feel like it. Last year I made a 2011 shirt, with rabbits and all since this year is the year of rabbit. I have also made another design but I have not brought it to a printing shop. The design I made yesterday was a 2012 shirt, with a dragon since it will be the year of the water dragon next year. I attached a picture here, this design is for a girl. I uploaded the design for males in one of my discussion. You can take a look at it there.

There are quite a few but I think the most prominent one is playing computer games. I can get really immersed in it and totally lose track of time. It used to worse when I was younger. I could play all night not even knowing it was morning till I look at the window. It is not as bad now and I do not play as much as I did in those days.

Hi shanemae, In my case I lose track of time when I am reading something interesting or when I am in the garden. There have been times when I have read through the night when I was reading a very interesting book. The same when I am in my garden, I simply forget myself and if I have the time, can spend the entire day there doing some work or the other.Gardening chores are unending and there is always plenty to do...

it's soo tiring since i do not really like to garden although i enjoy it sometimes.
i hope to see your garden on pictures someday.

With me, it's playing online games, hanging out on facebook, playing with my furkids, sitting in the sun enjoying the warmth, grooming my furkids, reading a book, talking with my favourite neighbour or on the phone with my friends... those are the ways I find myself so often losing track of time .

Anything online. It's the only thing that holds my attention for extended periods of time and there is so much to read and do. In fact I did not realize it's almost time to go get my daughter from school....I thought it was still morning .

Ilose track of time when I am doing anything on the computer, but MyLot is probably the worst. I check my e-mails and respond to some of my friend's discussions and interests and time can fly by. I also seem to be unable to shut the computer down without playing a few games of Solitare. I keep thinking this will be the last one, but it never is.

The one activity that always makes me loose track of time is my painting. When I get into it,and I feel inspired I keep going, till I am too tired. That is when i do my best work. Some times a good book or something interesting (like myLot) will do the same. That is why I usually make a schedule, otherwise I would end up addicted to it!

I paint oil on canvas, and as for subject,I try to paint anything that catches my fancy.I am good with landscaped, and animals, still nature is ok too,but I find that flowers do not give me the same pleasure, and even though I tried portraits I find them quite the challenge. When I find somebody that wants to order a painting( not as often as I would like) I look at the picture and tell them if I can do them.I need inspiration to work(being in the mood),but I also need discipline,a schedule. I wish you good luck and I hope that you get where you want to be!

yes, that is true.
i have a bad time management skill and i just get addicted to what i do. lol
but one day maybe i should make my time schedule and i should really stick to it!
thank you for responding! have a great day!

MyLotting always makes me lose track of time! It is quite addictive, and it is currently what I spend most of my time on as well.
Why spend all your free time on FaceBook when you can be spending it have A LOT more fun on myLot and earning for it too!
I honestly feel like myLot is the best thing on the internet.

i agree with you Angele!
when i became a member of mylot i had less time spent on Facebook.
it's the same thing here you interact and socialize with people but the thing is Mylot pays us but not Facebook. so better spend time here than waste it on other sites.

There's something that definitively will make you feel you were abducted by aliens, well, there's two things actually: Ironing clothes and Sleeping ! Both take an incredible amount of time if you don't control them, and when you just decide to have a glance on the watch or clock you realise time has just melted away and you had completely no awareness about it !

Oh? your instructor have recommended this site? Wow! great! I hope this site would really be explored by other people. It is so interesting to be here because you could learn a lot from other people, may it be your friends within your vicinity or other countries. Well, I also enjoy staying here. Discussing things here in mylot would make me lose track of time. I don't know. I just enjoyed being here than on facebook or twitter.

yes karstine, my instructor recommended this site for us to earn rather than waste our time on facebook which is really true! we don't really earn on facebook so why waste all our precious time there.
true! it's much more interesting and fun here cause you get to participate on discussions. and there are always new topics that we can respond to.
how about you? how did you come to this site?
thanks for responding!

I haven't been a member with mylot for very long, this is only my third day, so I don't know yet about being addicted to mylot. I sure have read a lot of discussions about this subject though, I have to say. And I can see that you must be addicted because you are doing about 100 posts a week if you have been here for only 3 months. If I do 15 postings a day I might reach that but I don't know if I will have the time to do that many a day but I will give it my best shot.
My mom is a member with mylot and she is addicted sometimes. She goes in spurts. For one month she will be here and post like crazy and then for the next month she might come on a couple times. I guess it depends on the mood a person is in. Because she has been working this site for a very long time, I thought I would see what it was all about and give it a try.
So far I like it, but not addicted yet!!
Welcome to mylot my new friend,

hi there littlemissy!
welcome! and i would sure welcome you again when you are one of us-
addicted to mylot!!
it's sure fun here. i know one day you would be able to relate to us.
i have been here for 3 weeks now and when i was on my third day like you i would post as much as 30 posts a day. sure, if you would give your best shot here then maybe you'll find yourself addicted to it. maybe because of the goal that you want to reach- the "payout" and for some it is the discussions that interest them.
for me its, both.
happy mylotting littlemissy. see you around!

for me, it is watching the korean/taiwanese dramas... i can spend the whole day in front of my laptop watching these dramas... i really have to exercise self-control to be able to limit myself and prevent myself from spending too much time on watching them... they are really addictive... otherwise, i will never get anything done and it is not good for my eyes as well... take care and have a nice day...

hi ling!
you excite me! i am a huge fan of those Korean dramas and Taiwanese drama so i know how it feels.
like, starting the drama then suddenly you cannot pause because you are too excited to know what's gonna happened on the next episode.
truly addicting! and maybe you should relax your eyes when you know you have watched too much ling.
take care too and have a nice day.

Well, Facebook eat up so much of my time. I also play a lot. I dunno how these game developers actually come up with addicting games that you normally did not notice how much time you have already spent on them. It sometimes took me hours to realize that I have been sitting and playing non-stop already for so long. I even forget to do something important because of those online activities. I think I need to layoff on those things already because I am wasting too much time and not getting any in return.

There are a lot of activities that make me lose track of time. This includes mylotting, facebook, tweeting, playing sims social and many, many more. But I can consider mylotting as the activity that is worth the time simply because I can learn something, I can make new friends and at the same time I can earn online. :)
