Do You Invest Your Time In Here Like You Would A Job?

I know we do not get paid here like you do when working for someone else, but have you ever considered this like a job? Somewhere where you can go each day and interact with others doing something productive and feeling like you have accomplished something for sure.
There are many times I continue to hear people complaining about the pay here, or they are leaving here calling this site a Scam or not worth being here. People even complaining this site is not worth their time. I often wonder though how many of these say the same thing about other things in their life as well, or would treat a job like this? Many times I am sure they have, and if they have ever done any other online thing or Business opportunity they are probably the ones thinking they can do nothing to get something as well.
Personally every moment I have ever spent here has been worth it. I have truly learned a lot and met a lot of wonderful people. Overall there are many times I look forward to being able to come and post here, and even try to set aside some time from my busy lifestyle as well. I could never thank my friends here enough for making this site what it is today, and hope you will continue to be in my life forever.

Hi Tina,
Sometimes I do treat it like a job. I spend hours here getting to payout. I want to get to payout before the end of this month.. I made payout for last month. When I am not doing anything else I can make over a dollar a day. But lately I have been very busy and can't do that much. People have no room to complain... they get what they put into it here.

That is so true. People that complain in here are not willing to put into this site to get back. Or they are expecting either something for nothing, or not willing to want to do what it takes to reach payout. I was really busy last month so I missed payout in here, but am over the mark now, so just trying to add more to my total as I can. My goal is usually trying to reach the $10 payout mark each month as well.

Well, I missed payout last month due to having a busy schedule. I am at payout now, and have a goal I would like to be at by the end of the month, but not sure I will get there. But it is always nice to try and shoot for it.

I made $13 last month, so I hope to do as well this month. I don't see it happening this month unless i can spend many more hours. It took me 2 months to make it this time.. so I hope I can at least get to payout this month.

To be honest, I won't treat here like a job though. It might be my part - time job, not serious type of part - time job. I only can do it during my spare time, whenever I have spare hours for it. For what I can do, I would contribute partial of my TV time for it to make some extra money, that is all.

Well, it is true that you cannot earn enough on here like you can from a job, but it is still a great place to be. I do admit that there are many times I spend down here posting instead of doing other things just because I want to be here. But it is a Great place to come and share things and many times take your mind off of other things bothering you as well.

This site is not designed to earn anyone a living. It is a place I have learned a lot though, and I put quality effort into posting here. I really like interacting with all my friends and with people from all over the world. No complaints from me.

Yes, there is no complaints from me as well, and the times I can be more active in here the extra money I have earned in here is worth while. I do think many people though do spend a lot of time in here, and that is what actually helps keep this site moving. It is fun to be able to interact with and meet so many interesting people here from all over the world.

hi tina I was looking for something worthwhile to do as I was newly retired and bored to tears. here I could help others, learn from others, care about my newly found friends and still earn a little money too. Its been so much more than just making discussions for money, its friendships and learning new customs and opening my mind and heart to others customs and cultures. I became good friends from all over the world and was accepted as just another good mylotter. my age was no concern at all. love it here and here I shall remain for a long long time mylotting until I am sent for above. lol I love responding and commenting back to responses on my own discussions too. I may be a partial shut in but I sure can mylot with the best of them.

Personally my friend, I am so Glad you are here, and we got a chance to meet. Even though we may never meet in person I appreciate you and your encouragement. I know many times I know I can count on seeing you around here and you help make my days so much brighter.

Although I do spend a great deal of time here, I am diligently hoping to work offline so I try to go in and out while looking for work, doing odd jobs and or keeping up with offline responsibilities. I do enjoy all the benefits, including the monthly bonus but I would not consider this a job as it really would not be feasible.
But I do tend to invest a great deal of time here also as I do really enjoy the myLot and all the members. This is the type of person I am that when I set my mind in doing something whether it is offline and or online I devote a great deal of time, though I am good about having a balance I find that nothing I do set my mind in doing is way too small and or way too big for me to tackle.

This is a Great way to look at things my friend. I know that you do have a lot of things to tackle and I admire you for your efforts. One day soon something good is going to break thru for you, and it will be more than you can handle, but will be worth every Tear shed and time put forth as well.

I don't really treat MyLot like a job, but I do set a goal for myself to post every day, even if I don't post the number that I intended to, I still try to be active on here a lot.

Yes, there are many times that I do not have the time to post in here as much as I would like too, especially lately, but anytime that I can spend in here is worth it for sure.

I like being on here. I enjoy finding new discussions to enjoy participating in. I am not so particular about how much is paid because at least its something right? Which is more than I can say about other sites. This is not a scam and keeps me thinking about a variety of other things. Some things I would never have thought about. And its actually a good conversation starter.

Yes, that is for sure, and the Good thing is this site continues to pay even if it takes a month or two or so to reach payout in here. The good thing is I have seen many sites come and go, and this one continues to be a good one.

Yes, these are some excellent reasons for continuing to be a member here. I know it will never pay what my job, or any job pays, but like you you meet so many wonderful people here that makes it worth coming back here for. I know many times you feel like you know them, and can relate with them. The extra we earn here is just the little incentive as well.

personally, my lot is a knowledge motivator not a money motivator. I get to meet a lot of new people and learn a lot from the discussions. i donot invest time like i would do in a job but i would login whenever i have free time and see if i can add value for my knowledge for various topics. I wish it continues to grow and get a chance to meet the world :)

That is so true. myLot is a great knowledge motivator, and a Great way for any person just needing to come in and talk about life to come here. There are people who are doing OK with earnings here, but you have to be quite active, but it will never replace a job. The small amount we make along with the knowledge we can share and gain makes it worth more than money can buy for sure.

This depends on the level of the person and importance he is attaching to it. For some people even a few cents may be a motivating factor. for some even a few dollars may not be a motivating factor. I would suggest --do offline work and come here whenever you get time so that you can share your ideas, learn from others.
Incidentally I am now in chennai --back from usa-- I will continue to pray for your good health.

There might be many of us still easily being able to reach payout here as well. For me the friendships and interesting discussions is what keeps me coming back for sure.

I'd like to invest time here. The problem is that, if i see a topic my brain just not function directly. Writing here always takes time for me, because I really want to comment a quality comment, not just commenting something that is empty or does not contain any thoughts at all. I just hope I will develop a skill like you guys who have done a really good job here. Have a nice day my friend.

Well, it is something that takes time. Learning to respond back with quality over quantity and having everyone here want to Trust you does take a lot of time and work. Personally it is something that I have learned and so it helps me being able to move forward from here.

Interesting KrauseHome, I could certainly treat my online time like I would a job because I enjoy role playing. A model, a simulation or an activity that I can get involved with and be myself is very appealing to me as well as educational. I think people can and do make an important contribution to communities online that enable sites to be very positive. If we can practice being the best we can be who is to say that same effort will not transform itself into other parts of our life or reflect in us from the inside out. We do know the word community is an illusion as the definition pertains to real houses on real lots, real people who interact with each other in real life. I believe the realness can be present though here online when people are sincere and mean well and therefore our 'work' can become rewarding in more ways than one. Hope that made sense.

Interesting way to look at things, and it is true that a lot of times the things you do and learn online even while posting here will help you later on in life learning about you more and being able to help you get thru things you thought might be impossible.

Well, there are days that you might end up feeling a little discouraged because of the amount you are earning in here, but what most people need to realize, is that this site is about quality over quantity, and the more things you find time to respond back too each day the more you will earn in here. What works for me, is trying and find time where I can be actively posting here for a bit and then post til I reach a certain number, and then leave for a bit. Makes me realize at least then I was doing something worthwhile.

Well I guess it is what works for each person. There are a lot of people that really do not ever make anything online and it is because they never take the time to try. But for me it is a matter of taking time to get done what I need to get done, whether it be for my Online Business or for here, or whatever I am needing to do for that day as well as work my regular Full time job as well.

unfortunately i can't do that as much as i want to invest my time here like my full-time job... by the time i finish work, i am already too tired and i still have to cook and do other household chores... i try my very best to spend as much time as i can here... but i won't be able to spend 8 hours here every day like my full time job... take care and have a nice day...

True, there is NO way except maybe on my days off that I could ever spend that much time here, and then I have other things I need to do as well. It does make you wonder sometimes when you see someone posting an awful lot in here when they ever have time for anything else, unless they are on Disability or retired. But no matter what, this still remains a really Great place to be.

When I first joined MyLot nearly 5 years ago, I almost treated it like a real job. The amount of hurs I would spend here was amazing. I would do as many posts as possible, with photos, etc to earn as much as I could. I loved it. I loved the intereaction with people and I loved writing.
I have been on and off My lot twice, due to outside work commitments. I am only back on now because I love the communication with other peole and I have some spare time.
I don't treat it as a job now, as there is no way I can afford to spend so much time on My lot , not earning.
I really don't know if people treat My lot as a job, if anyone here earns enough to call it a job?

Well, for me even though this site could never pay me like a job would with the pay, benefits, etc. I am still glad this site is here. I know I continue to reach payout every other month or so depending on how much time I have to spend in here. But it is true... The interactions that you can have with a person in here is amazing. You can also meet and make some wonderful friends for life as well.

Yes, I do agree it is hard to find the type of income no matter what you choose to do online these days that equals what you can earn outside the home working for someone else. I know a lot of times it has to be a mixture of things if you want to do this, and then have to be able to afford medical etc. as well. But anytime a person can earn a little extra doing something online, that is a Great extra for sure.

Although I do spend a lot of time here, I don't consider it a job. Getting paid is the least of what I like about this site. It is small, but I consider it an added bonus. What I like the most is learning how others feel about things, traditions in different countries and on and on.

Yes, for me this is the Truth as well. This site has been good for earnings for me, but I do enjoy being able to come here and interact and talk with people from all over the world seeing what motivates them each day, and knowing somehow I am helping others to see things maybe in a different light for the first time. Even when we do not always agree, myLot is truly the place to be.

When users sign in here they come here with false information given by their uplines when they are urged to register. The false information is mainly of earnings. Just to rope them in this false information is given and that is the main cause of frustration for some users.
myLot as we know is a site where earnings is not the main issue but interaction and gaining friends and knowledge. For me this is a pass time and a pleasant one at that.

Dear Tina,
I agree with you. Every moment i have spent here was not wasted time at all. By now you should know that i am one of those people who is not here for money alone. If I were then i would have been here every single day but i was gone for quite awhile.
I am disappointed with those people saying they're not earning much from here. It's because they only equate earnings with money. What about the friends that you earn from here? The lessons you learn from other members? They never thought of mylot like that because all they care about is money.

Yes, that is True. If those of us who are active here, and have been here for a while we here for just the money we would still not be here. Personally it is far beyond the money, and the people who complain about the money in here have never taken time to find what this site is truly about. It is for learning to interact with one another, offering advice and suggestions and making New friends.
There is no way I could trade all the wonderful friends I have made here from all over the world, and life experiences I have learned here as well.
