When we have a travel, usually we will stay in the hotel. I wonder whether you have left something there. Long time ago I forgot to bring a clothes with me and it was left in the hotel. So after that, I will be careful and will not make the same mistake again. I will check everywhere carefully when I leave.

I don't think I've ever forgotten anything in a hotel. I usually try to just keep everything right by my suitcase so it doesn't get forgotten. We usually only stay one night so it's easier to keep it like that. I guess for an extended stay things would get pretty scattered around. I do a thorough check of the room before I leave just to make sure.

Yes this happened to my daughter a year ago. We stayed at a hotel as my son was graduating college. I am one who checks everything even after all say they got everything as leaving things behind is no fun, especially if we have to replace.
She left her cell phone charger in the room attached to the electrical socket. Even though I asked spot check again.
I did call the hotel and they were so nice and mailed it to me free of charge but we won't be this lucky all the time, so even when I say did you check I will be one to re-re check again. lol

I stayed on a tropical island in Fiji. I left there but hadn't remembered my dressing gown. I spent more time on the main island of Fiji. At the airport waiting for my flight to Sydney there I heard the words would I go to the information desk. So I did so and there I was handed my dressing gown. I am amazed that the island staff had managed to get my dressing gown to the airport. I was able to take it with me on the rest of my travels around the world. Funnily enough I still have it now all these years later.
As I mentioned I was in Australia and at one time on my trip I was in Cairns. I booked a train ticket to Brisbane because I missed Sydney and wanted to go back there. A day or so before leaving I washing my clothes in the hostels washing machine. Then I hung my clothes outside on the washing line. My clothes that I had washed all had gone missing possibly stolen. I still had the clothes I was wearing and I hadn't washed my dressing gown. So I left for Brisbane without my clothes that had been washed.
In Brisbane I bought new clothes and stayed longer there than I had planned. I did manage to go back to my beloved Sydney. I was more careful with my clothes for the rest of that trip. Looking at my trip photos I missed some of my clothes that had gone missing like my black denim trousers that my sister had hand made.

That happened to me once too. It was on a visit to the northern part of the Province, very cold region. I forgot a topcoat in the room at the hotel. I didn't realize it till I was outside the hotel to get on to the taxi. Oh, it was so cold, freezing. Only then I realized that I didn't have my topcoat on. I had to run back into the hotel, requested for the room key at the reception desk, and ran back up to the room. Oh, there it was hanging in the cupboard !

I have never left anything in the hotel before. Whenever I leave the hotel, I will search every corner and even under the bed to see if I have left something, and I will ask everyone whether they have something forgot to take before I close the room door. So, in that way, I have never left anything in the hotel before.

No, I didn't have such experience before. But my first boss left his suit in the hotel when he was on a business trip in USA. Then he asked me to talk with the hotel staff, and sent the suit back by courier. It costed about around RMB1000.00 that time.

There was one time when I left something in the hotel, but I cannot remember what it was. You are right that we should be careful with our personal belongings when we leave the hotel that we stay in. Otherwise it would be some loss to us. So it is better careful than never. Take care, youless.

A couple of years ago I had made a tape of my favorite music and listened to it on the way to our vacation destination and while we were there. Then when we left and came home I forgot to take the tape out of the car and lost it because it was a rental. Didn't leave it in a motel but in the rental car.

To be honest,I have never left something in the hotel, mind you please, I was frequently on the business trip before I was retired.Ridiculous as it may sound, but it was true. Each time when I was at the hotel, I bore the number of bigger items of my luggage in mind.I checked up them before I sighed out.

Yeah... When we went on a tour I left the loose change I have on top of the drawer because it feels heavy in my pants when we are touring the city. Apparently, I forgot that housekeeping will clean our room when we are gone. And to my dismay, when we came back to the room it was gone. I don't take it against the maid. They might have mistaken it for a tip... hahaha... If my memory serves me right it amounted to 60 - 80 Hongkong dollars or USD8 - USD10. I could have bought a souvenir with that amount. hahaha... Oh well one lesson learned... hehehe...

I only forget something one time, but the worst thing is it was my wallet. I had to do my documents all over again and lost a few bucks that I had in the wallet. I called to the hotel when I got home, but they say that they didn't found anything in the room.

Hi youless, since the day few years back, my favorite bottle of perfume was left in the hotel due to my carelessness, I have become very alert every time before leaving the hotel room. I bought that perfume with faint aromatic fragrance which I loved very much from the free duty outlet when arriving the airport during my first day vacation. Yeah, I will get every corner checked thoroughly regardless of the trouble and short while spending to do so, for I don't wish to lose any favorite item again

Yes actually just last summer when I, with the family went for a short trip. We stayed in this hotel but when we had to leave, we forgot one of our suitcases there. It was such a horror I tell you. But then we called the person and told them we would be back to take it late in the evening. We did go back and got our stuffs ![](/Content/images/emotes/cheering.gif)

As a frequent traveler I guess I've left some from leaving the hotel. I often left my underwear in the shower room, ha ha ha funny realy but this is the item I always forgot to pack. I guess it is because I usually shower few minuted before leaving the hotel and when I finished I almost get to hurry not to miss my next flight.
