So what's up with that NBA strike? The players make tons of money so I think they can compramize and start the season. If the season won't start both side will lose...

There was a 51% ultimatum issued yesterday. But I think this is still not enough for them to force an agreement. I think their season is lost. While they are busy trying to divide their profits, they've already lost a good chunk of it just because they couldn't agree.

As of today, David stern said that the 82 game season is no longer possible.my understanding of Stern's statement is simple: the NBA will at least have a season this year. How many games will they be able to showcase?now that is the real question.

The strike will only last for a short time. The players and coaches will loose money if this won't end... I bet that a compromise will come soon, and players will agree to salary amounts. The worst decision to make is letting the team not play any basketball and make the franchise loose out on lots of money.

Still no agreement as of now. It's still a 50/50 situation at this point. If there is no deal 3 days before play day then there would be no NBA season. Remember: NBA, "where amazing things happen".

If the situation really turns out to be like the previous lockdown in 1998, we are looking at a very dry year end of "no" basketball. This really sucks!
