According to my Big Brother, they have new Protocol that will be implementing this very day, Monday. My brother disagree on this part. And I do like to agree with him. The New Protocol must not be given to them because they are not the one who doing the first process. And according to my brother this so called Protocol was not found on their Job Description.
Would you disagree with the New Protocol and raise out your opinion or just simply follow what is being offered or being implemented.

If it were something that I disagreed with I would speak up with enough to show them why my reasoning for not wanting to agree. Maybe they will see my rational reasoning and make room as to how they can continue without the new protocol.
If not then I would try my best to go along as perhaps not doing so could cost me my job if it were me. At worse maybe I can add to the new protocol in such a way that perhaps they will entertain my ideas as well.

Yes, it really depends upon one's insights as regards the new protocol to be implemented. I agree with you that it is best to size things up. Think clearly about the new protocol. Delve into it and into its rationality of implementation. Otherwise, those affected by its implementation will have to speak their minds. That way, observance of the protocol towards the end of it all, becomes easy and highly acceptable for everyone.

Hmmmm, I guess if I had a job and wanted to keep it I would have to follow along. But in reality, most of the jobs I ever had, if the protocol was wrong I would start looking for another job first and then voice my opinion. So it is 5 months later that I got to this. Do you still have your job?

Hi syoti20!
Sometimes you're just put in a situation where you could not disagree or even voice out your concern particularly if the protocol or new rules come from the higher management. This is what usually goes in a company.
Second, where will you turn and release your sentiment or rant your complaint, to the Human Resources whom I believe is the first one who agreed and considered as the implementing department.
Sometimes you just have to be quiet and comply with it, and allow the nurturing process to judge it. If the rules was no good, problems will definitely arise along with the many complications it will brought to the process.
Have a nice day!

Whether it's in one's job description or not, it does not matter. After all, they are all in the same office. Though there might be different departments for different things, but when a new protocol is introduced, i'm sure it will affect everybody in some ways or other. One can choose to ignore or dun place much importance to it, if not, adhere to them and also learn something in the process. That will only do him good.. haha

There had been a lot of changes in my office too. I don't think you can do about it unless it's really unacceptable, like all employees should wear underwear during Thursdays or something. LOL In that case, everyone will protest. But if the new rules are pretty much acceptable, I guess you just have to go with it. If it's not that acceptable by most of the employees, they will do something about it anyway so all you have to do is sit back and relax til you're seeing a negative feedback from your co-workers.

I would just go with the flow because I hate problems or gripe sessions in the workplace.

If i see that it is a very logical one to be observed, I will do so without any objection nor question aired. However, if this is something which is unnecessary and requires some effort in order to be observed, i will question as regards its implementation.
Some matters being implemented may be rooted on a religious basis. If this is so, I would beg to disagree on its implementation. It really depends upon what is it that is being implemented.
I feel that this should not be something which should be implemented full force considering that this is not part of the job description, that is, taking into consideration from your brother's point of view.

It depends on the new protocol to be implemented. If it puts the employees to so much disadvantage, then i think i would voice out what i feel towards it.
But if it is something that can enhance employer-employee relationship , then why not.

I have always been a rebellious employee when it comes to new policy but I'm realizing that it won't do any good. Even if I'm against the new protocol or policy or whatever, as long as the company has made their decision, there's nothing much that a regular employee, like me, can do. What I usually do is to simply leave the company or do what I can to turn it to my advantage. If your brother is in the upper management, then maybe he can do something. Otherwise, he will have no choice but to follow this new protocol.
