Ever since I was a child, my parents always told me not to be soak in the rain because I'll catch colds or even flu. But now that I'm older, I read some online articles saying that it's not true, that it is juat an old wives tale passed on from generation to generation. Do you believe in this tale? Which one is true?

Mostly the old people would always say that. But i don't believe in that, because i would always get wet from the rain specially during dismissal when it suddenly rains and i am walking with no umbrella.
just cannot run , because i might trip in my high heels, so i would just walk a bit faster and get wet. Yet, i don't get sick with it!

Yeah, I no longer believe it now. But when I was a younger, around my teenage years, whenever I get soaked in the rain I always got sick. I don't know if it's just coincidence or my immune system was just weak during those days. There are still times when I get sick every now and then but not because of the rain.

Believe your parents. The way that online writers study and promote answers is a little too technical and unrealistic. If you soak your head in the rain, a cold can occur for a few reasons. Firstly, the water can seep into your pores and create excess water flow. Secondly, when soaked with water, your head will experience a temperature change that can cause Pneumonia.
