I have just used my new EON card last Saturday. I withdrew my money at Paypal thru it.
Since i was advised that it would take at least 2 - 3 banking days before it could be credited to my EON card, i didn't check it yesterday. Out of curiosity though , i inquired online if it's in my EON card already this morning.
Lo and behold, it was there already. Oh, i am so impressed with my EON card! It has no other deduction, except for the paypal fee of PhP50.00 ($1.19).

hi simplyd I apply also an eon card. I did everything that I could to verify my paypal through online. But I got this message that paypal cannot verified it (I forgot the message and it is not successful). What did I go wrong? Is it because the eon card have no amount in it or did I put the wrong security code?

Security code for the eon or for the paypal account? I think it should be more than 6 or 8 alpha numeric password, if it's for paypal. [

maybe you put the wrong code...there are two long numbers in your card right??the one in big font(upper side) and the one below your name. What did you use??Your account number is the second one, that's the number i forwarded to my husband so he can send us money..

I'm happy for you Ms. D, that you've already got your EON card. Thank you for the information on how we can apply to it because I also don't have an EON card yet. Hope i can get mine soon. :-)

Get your EON card at the soonest marie. You will just have to pay PhP350.00 for it, for a whole year. At least, it's cheaper that way, rather than the bank charging you a fee every time paypal credits your earnings.

Hello there. Php 350.00 is your annual charge and PhP50.00 is a service charge every time you withdraw.

I don't usually withdraw money from my paypal unless it's more than Php7000 so i don't have to pay for the 50php. Eon is really fast. I always receive mine after two days. And so far they have been very consistent with their service so i like eon.

I"m happy for you miss D, yes eon is the best and most practical for Philippine users although I do not own an Eon card myself since I already have a Visa credit card attached to my paypal whenever I want to make online purchases and still prefer my online earnings to go direct to my bank, I let it stay in my PP for a while since its free also if you transfer 7.000 pesos or more. Yeah Eon one of the best for Philippine Paypal users, I'm glad our country has them.

Yes louie, i am glad i applied for an EON card. I do have my other ATM card but it charges me everytime there's a transfer from Paypal.
As to my credit card, i never ever want it exposed here online. I am so cautious in using it online.

I think so too , louievill. I always would just let be there, if i don't want to withdraw it yet and would like the earnings to just accumulate first.

I think Paypal is a safe place to keep financial information, mine has been there for years. I think it's how we keep it safe that matters most so I use very long Alphanumeric passwords that cannot be found in any English dictionary, I also continually update my antivirus and anti malware and scan my computer on a daily basis (1 antivirus and 2 anti-malware)

I have no idea what the Eon card is.I am surprised that you have your money in paypal account in your Eon card, they only charge you $1.19 for it,beyond belief!Over here,If we withdraw money ,paypal charges us $35 each time. You know I make horrible little money here on mylot, believe it or not.I have to leave it alone.

Hi, SIMPLYD! I have a question about verifying the eon card to paypal. I have added my eon card to Paypal and just needs to be verified. Now, where can I see the expuse number, the 4-digits? I added the card before I was enrolled in the eon online account about two days. So is it still possible to get it that 4-digit number even if I am still not enrolled in my online account? Need your response, Thank you!

What 4 digit number? The one sent by Unionbank? You can verify your account using that , once you have enrolled and has been activated in your online account.

It will arrive by mail, neon. Just wait for it. If it does not arrive, contact the branch where you enrolled the EON card.

i have been on mylot for almost five years and at least more than five years that i am using paypal. i think it's paypal that is doing good. it works well with any other bank, not only with EON card provided by Unionbank.

Yes, i understand that. But then. other bank charges a fee, whenever there's a remittance, from a place other than where you opened your account.
I experienced that with my BPI atm account. They deduct PhP150.00 for every remittance. So, that's why i opened an eon card.
And i am so happy i have opened an EON card. It's faster and charge free.

Hi Simply...I just got a EON card from Union bank. I am glad to here that it works like it is supposed to. I have a bank account in the USA and for some reason I can't transfer money to a Philippine bank, so I have to transfer to paypal first and then move it to the bank and then I can use the EON card to withdraw...I hope it works smoothly for me like it did for you.

Why not have your money from USA trasnferred from Paypal then once you see it there, you yourself could transfer it to your EON card and withdraw it thru EON?

Hi, I'm glad I found this discussion. First up, I've been contemplating if i will open an Eon account with Unionbank because of the 350php annual fee. So, based on your experience, it's actually worth it, right? Would you know if I will be able to withdraw my funds over 7000php for free using my BPI? Sorry for the additional question but it seems that you know better than me when it comes to this topic. Thanks!

Yes, you are right airkulet, about BPI charging our account everytime there's a transfer from paypal. It's for PhP150.00 per transfer. So, i usually would withdraw from it avery other month to scrimp on the other PhP150.00.
However, summing that PhP150.00 every two months would still make the PhP350.00 annual fee of EON card still at an advantage. And besides, i can now withdraw even every month.

Hi stuck, I think that the best option for us in the Philippines is eon by Union Bank. My friend tried to withdraw funds in bpi and it has a charge with it. Id say that it is worth to pay a Php 350.00 per year than having always a charge by the bank every time you withdraw it.
And besides only Union Bank knows about the paypal, I try to approach a teller in BPI and BDO but they are puzzles on what is paypal is, they don't really know a thing about it. All other banks in Philippines charge any foreign transactions and this include other bank that transact with them and paypal is another foreign transactions for them so they charge for its service.

You can go to a Unionbank branch nearest you and fill out a form and submit it. Be sure to have two valid IDs with you when you go there. You will pay them the fee of PhP350.00 when your card arrives. They will notify you .

@april_dawn, you can even apply for it online if this is more convenient for you or would help you save a little money and time. Check this out http://www.unionbankph.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1035&Itemid=245

Hi Simplyd. Wow, it's good to hear that. Congratulations! I can't wait to get my own EON Card. I just learned about it a couple of days ago. I think one of my classmates works there. I'm going to ask her when I have a chance. By the way, do you need a savings account in Unionbank before you can apply for the EON card?
@SIMPLYD (90721)

You don't have to have a savings account for you to open an EON Card. Simply fill up their form, submit it and wait for their call when it arrives. Then, pay it(PhP350.00) when you claim it.
Just bring 2 valid IDs, and in your case, you have your friend who works there to vouch for you. But i think, they may still need one, for documentation purpose.

EON card is a debit card offered by Unionbank of the Philippines. It enables Paypal to transfer your earnings from Mylot to the card, which you can withdraw in a matter of 2 days.
We receive it already in peso, the currency here in the Philippines.

If you withdraw 6,999.99 and below, there will be a fee that cost 50php. However, if you withdraw 7,000 and above, it will be free of charge. Yes, your withdraw will reflect to your Eon account after 2 - 5 business days.
If you can't wait for 2-5 business days before it reflect to your Eon account, I recommend to use Peso Exchanger. You can withdraw/exchange your PayPal funds to cash/bank transfer in a few minutes even on holidays and weekends. You can add them on Facebook - Peso Exchanger and visit them to their website http://pesoexchanger.com

I was formerly using my BPI ATM card to have it credited by paypal.
However, every credit by paypal, would mean a PhP150.00 ($3.57) charge by BPI on my account. So, i decided to get an EON card instead. At least , it will only charge me PhP350.00 ($8.33)annually.

If you are from the Philippines, you can apply for it at Unionbank . It's actually a debit card wherein there's no need to maintain an amount on it. You just have to pay a PhP350.00 fee for it, annually.
AT least, it's better than being charged Php150.00 by my local bank , every time i had my paypal earning credited to it.
