So now I feel dizzy and sleepy while working,I really wanted to go to home and just sleep lol.I wish i could do that hehe.
Now I'm just drinking a cup of cofee to wake me up.
You,what do you usually do during lunch break (after eating)?

Hi ardoy0731, the weather here in the scorching afternoon always makes me feeling drowsy right after I have just finished my lunch. Yeah, this is why I like enjoying a short nap for half an hour or so after the lunch. I will go for my part time work after the nap as long I reach the office before 1:20pm The short nap makes me energetic in the workplace.
Happy posting

I used to work with an attorney who would take a nap at work so he could stay longer at work. If he didn't get his nap he left at 6pm, if he did get a nap, which he tried to do if he didn't have anything to do that day, i.g. court or a deposition, he would leave much later. You should take time to rest during the day, lunch in a great time to relax because you are going to need that kindergarten nap to recharge for the rest of the day.

I had a bunch of attorney bosses, I worked in a big law firm. I've also worked in smaller firms, its more one on one then. It was a professional atmosphere, I liked it.

MyLot!!! Unless of course there are things that need to be finished at the office. Or sometimes, when I have a project at my night job, I also take a nap because when I have a night job, I only get a max of 3 hours sleep. I have a sofa in my office and it really feels good to take a nap in it.

Yep. I was really sleepy in both jobs. So, add maybe an hour's sleep during each job so that's 5 hours in all. The longest I had done that was 2 weeks. Thank goodness the project (in my night job) was done so the week after, we did not have to report. I could do it as long as it's just once in a while. If the night job becomes more stable, I would have to choose between the two jobs.

I know that it is not a good idea to use my brain, but I'm afraid of sleeping overtime. So I just spend my time to read or watch a short movie, then I wash my face and have a coffee, after that I'm good enough to the afternoon work.

Normally during my lunch break, I either do homework or sometimes go online to mylog and discuss a bit since it seems to be the only time I have available to do so. I do however find myself wanting to nap and luckily I have an office with a door, so sometimes I close the door, turn off the lights and just relax during my 1 hour lunch break.

Talking about naps, I really needed one today, but unfortunately that didn't happen, so hopefully I could get the kids to bed early and finish my homework so that I can be in bed to compensate for the nap I failed to take today. LOL

Taking a nap is always good for health, but going to sound sleep in the afternoon after lunch is really bad going. I had this habit of sleeping when i was in vacation during my college times and i was feeling really dizzy and sleepy all the time once i got off sleep in the afternoon as i was sleeping for about 2-3 hours which was bad.But i do hear from health experts and also read some health magazines about this and confirm that taking a nap for 30 minutes is very good for health and not more than that

We can't really do that. My dad is a workaholic that doesn't believe in breaks. At 12:00 we eat for like 15-20min and its back to work. If he sees us taking a small break he'll ask what we're doing "just standing/sitting around." He just like to get things done quick. Sometimes its hard, especially if we are in the part of digging or destroying parts of the houses (we work in the construction field). After we get to the painting part it isn't that bad but still bad enough because of the soreness of our arms.

That's really hard, having that kind of work.Sorry for that.In my work before ,we only have 15 minutes break too, which sometimes not enough to finish your meal.
We are much lucky for having an hour break here.

When I used to work in my last part time job, if I was working all day, I would go up on the roof where my car was parked, eat lunch in my car and have a sleep. I really needed a power nap and I would waken feeling much refreshed and it would be much easier to finish the day's work.

Hi ardoy!
Our lunch break is the same, 12-1. But I don't really take a nap during that time. I was always told by my mother to sleep during lunch breaks but I just prefer surfing the net or talking to friends during that free time. And they say, sleeping after eating makes you fat and I don't wanna get fat so I don't sleep at that time.
Sometimes I take a nap when I'm really sleepy or if I'm bored from surfing the net or there's no one to talk to. But most of the times, I really fight it also because there might be a telephone call or someone might come to the office. ^^

It is good to have a nap during your lunch hour.
In according to an article I read, you nap is not supposed to be more than 20 minutes.
However, it will be a very bad impression to other people when you take a nap in the office.
ha! ha! Although a short nap will be good to us, I shall not keep this as my habit.

Some of my office mates takes a nap when 12 strikes. Then at 12:45 they will awaken and eat their lunch.
Me, i would get our General Manager's newspaper and read it, standing. That way, i get to rest my tummy and hopefully it will not get big.

Most of us do that too here..almost all. There are some who go out to buy something or do something cause our office is just 5 mins. walk to the mall.

Our office is actually inside the mall, owned by the CEO of our company. Thats' why sometimes, i would go around the mall so whatever i just ate would be used up and not stored as fat.

I did this when I was still working in an office then my midriff started to grow flabbier, ahahaha! I wanted to do it the other way around, I mean, sleep first then eat lunch. I actually did try and I would have continued doing it if I weren't ask all the time if I was feeling alright.

Since I am working at a full time job I do not get a chance to take a nap after lunch. Most of the time it is work immediately after having a lunch. But on the days that I am at home I have my lunch at around 2 in the afternoon and then take a nap for an hour or so. That is if I am not watching something interesting on television. I need a cup of nice hot coffee after waking up.

Oh you really have a tiring day having a full time job.But at least you can make it up during non working days.Always give time for ourselves once in a while to take some rest and relax.

I don't work so I can nap anytime I like. I never had a job where I could take a nap, but I think it is a good idea. Everyone hits a time period where they get tired. After a nap you have more energy and can make better decisions. I think that would be really helpful at work.

On my lunch break, I usually go out to my car and read a book. I work on the phones everyday and all day long. So, on that hour, it is "me" time and I can read and relax. I enjoy the peace and quiet during that hour and I am not bothered by loud noises like I am while I am on the phone. So, it is nice to have some "me" time, even though it is only for an hour each and every day. It is nice!

I'm lucky that I don't have a hard time in falling asleep. There are lots of people who suffer in that situation, have a sleeping disorder.I also experience it sometimes at night,I usually read books or watch movie or surf the net.
