This only disproved United nations findings that 13 percent of the Filipino Population is internet users. Another thing, finding Filipino here in MyLot proves that we are very sociable people and vary productive, using spare time in earning money online.

I looked it up and saw that as of 2010, there are 29, 700, 000 Filipino internet users which is 29.7% of the population. No wonder we always win in those online voting contests.

Even with other writing site and blogging sites you will find a lot of Pinoy-Philippines.
But still you will met a lot of foreigners here, don't worry.
Welcome to mylot and have a good day

I am from the Philippines. I'm sorry to know that you wanted to make friends with foreigners and yet you find that most of the members came from the Philippines. You were even surprised by this. Well, if you didn't expect us here then we can't do anything about it. Hope you can find a site with no filipino members signing in.

Hi I don't think she meant it that way. From what she said, she was surprised (not really in a negative way). And from her responses, I think that she has come to realize that we Pinoys make good friends.

You know, Filipinos are everywhere, they can be in Mylot, your lot or anybody's lot. LOL! But seriously, we should be proud that a number of our fellow country men and women are actively participating in these kind of sites because it means we are becoming more and more aware on how to have some extra income.
But, if you are after foreigners, don't worry, there are also a lot of them here. Just keep searching.

Well... I'm not Philippines... :D
Maybe, because MyLot is a number one discussion forum they like!
Or the best source to making money, or anything else.
Actually I am also surprised when most of the online playing game was Philippines, they called Pinoy (If I can remembered)

Hi! "Pinoy" is our slang for Filipino. So, when I say "I'm Pinoy", I mean "I am a Filipino" Pinoys are very sociable by nature, and myLot gives a good avenue because a lot of interaction happens, so, Pinoys love it here. Also, we're very curious about people from other countries and myLot also gives us a chance to interact with them.
@Dora: MyLot would be the perfect place for you to practice English. Just keep posting and you'll get confident using the English language!

There are a lot of people here who joined mylot that are Filipinos. I guess that's nice because we can relate with each other. There's nothing wrong with that.

Welcome to Mylot Dora! I am a Filipino like most of the people here. China and the Philippines share the same latitudes, so i guess that means that there is no time difference. Try logging into Mylot during the night, and you would be surprised that during that time, Indians flock in at Mylot. Try logging in the morning and you would be surprised to find Americans flooding in Mylot too. I guess it is a matter of time differences. From where are you in China, i would be flying to China this December.

There are a lot f Filipinos using mylot. I really do not know so much, but maybe you searched for friends from a Pinoy user. Therefore, a Pinoy would have Pinoy friends, and maybe that is the case. My list of friends are mostly foreigners, and yet I am a Pinoy.

how about if they are Filipinos but long lived already in foreign countries?
but to keep their profile, they say Place: Philippines but the true is presently living in Japan as an example...
like Manny Pacquiao, sometimes the announcer before the boxing fights said that he is from General Santos City, and his next fight that same announcer again said he's from Saranggani....
but he is still a Filipino.....

Well, Mylot pretty much attracts a big crowd, maybe in the Filipinos, everyone there has connections and sharing Mylot to their friends and relatives. Seriously, if I told my friends about Mylot, they would just laugh at me and tell me that I'm wasting my time. But the Mylot community composes of people from all walks of life and from all around the globe! It's great to connect yourself with different people because people have different advices and opinions and you can use other people's suggestions to shape your own judgement. Sometimes culture and background make contribute to a particular opinion. Welcome to Mylot by the way! I'm from Australia! I wonder if there are many Aussies here

I guess the reason for it is that, like you we are also fond of making friends with other nationalities. In mylot we can find different people from all over the world and share some experiences with them. There might be more Filipinos in here like me, but you can still see members from India, America, Europe etc.
Welcome to mylot! Enjoy :-)

I'm a Filipino and I'm a member here for five years already but not really that active before. When I first joined here, there were only few Pinoys here. I seldom see any pinoys back then. But when I come back this year I was also surprise to know many Filipino are here already. Maybe because we like to explore the world even through internet and yeah we are friendly and we like to interact with others and get to know other people from around the globe.

I hope there would be no problem of being a Filipino?
I am a Filipino too. It's just that Filipino are one who explore a lot of things. Want to learn many things. We didn't just stop from where we are.
Don't take this wrong but hope its not a problem with Filipinos
We are loveable and kind and cheerful

hi:)
I am from Philippines, and yes I'm not surprised at all that many "Filipino"(people from Philippines) here because we are naturally sociable people, we are hospitable and friendly. and if you'll be here you'll see that every household here have internet connection and computer at home, and also almost every one, including children aged 10 and up have already their own cellphone that they can also use for surfing online and doing social media like mylot.
happy mylotting!

Hi Dora,
I have found folks on here from many nations and I think that is terrific! I have never made an international phone call; I wouldn't know who to call anyway. But on here, I have communicated with people from all over the world.
The world really is at your fingertips!
