Of course it will hurt your eyes if watch it without proper care... Normal itself causes some amount of harm to eyes..So think and do some research regarding this before buying it...

You should test out 3D TV (in 3D mode), preferably by renting one and using it for a week or two, before buying one. Many people find that viewing in 3D either doesn't work at all for them or is disturbing and even painful. If you have enjoyed 3D movies in the cinema without any problems, then it's likely that 3D TV will also be OK.
My questions would be:
"How many programs is it actually going to be useful for?" (3D technology is often used just because it's there and it doesn't actually make a lot of difference to many programs and movies and can even be a distraction) and
"Is the extra price really worth it to me?" (that will depend entirely on your personal budget and how 'cutting edge' you like to be and all sorts of other things!).

I do know that you can get pretty dizzy from it. The first time I watched TV in 3d I did get a bit dizzy but when time passes by I am pretty sure the dizziness will go away. The first time you get glasses you are dizzy as well especially when you go from no glasses to one with a high refractive index, like I did. I felt very drunk and couldn't walk home with them. I went from putting time on for 5 minutes to 6, 7, 8... one hour, 2 hours.
I am pretty sure the same will go for your 3d television and as to your question I don't think it will damage your eyes. :)
