I hate ants.They took my chocolate.They are thieves.:(

Ants attack anything that is sweet and so when I make anything that is sweet such as cakes, etc I need to place the stuff in a mote of water till its time for me to store it. I will never put anything in my pocket and that too when I am asleep!

Oh my gosh, I hate ants too. They always take away our food. I find some joy destroying their lines sometimes. :)

I am sorry to hear that. However, compare to the ants, I hate the mosquitoes much more. Since they can spread the disease. And it is quite annoying for them to fly around you and bite you at night. There are no ants at my home. It seems that they become less and less in the city. I love China

Ants are such tiny little thieves! They're so shifty and their numbers can be pretty daunting! I hate it when it's summer, that's when the ants pop out and start stealing your food! Especially the nice sweet and tasty food! That's why, when I eat something, I always eat the amount I want and then quickly put it back in the fridge. I have a whole stack of chocolate in my fridge! But some ants can be quite bold and I have seen ants crawling in my fridge! Also, i the kitchen, I would see a whole stash of ants crawling everywhere all over the counter, trying to save as much crumbs as they can. I really hate them too, especially when they steal your food and take a ant out of you! They're such nasty little critters.

They are magnificent creatures but not so when they eat your stuff. I was saving this piece of salami sandwich. After making it I felt sleepy so I took a nap and left it in the table. I woke up 5 hours after and was so hungry. My mind was set to feeling satisfied with that sandwich as that was what my head was exactly craving for and then my whole world collided, my head almost exploded because I did not get the reward that I had in mind... ants in the sandwich... well just to get even, "If I can't then no one can!!!!" I threw it in a sink full of water.. DIE!!!!!! and I was grieving but happy coz revenge is sweet. Don't get me wrong I still respect those lil critters, just don't mess with my territory. If they're so persistent, I'll get an ant-eater as a permanent pet

I like how ants works for their clan but i hate the way they do it..Stealing :-( But really i was just thinking,maybe you are really putting those ants to test.lol I cant stop laughing thinking,you are so bothered that they got your chocolate,would you want them to have you instead of the chocolates?? hmmmmm

Funny I experienced it just recently. Ants ate one of my pills. I should take those pills daily and now I'm lacking one. I actually found myself talking angrily to the ants, asking them why they had to take the pill when there were so many other things they could've taken in my cupboard. When I moved into my current apartment there were already quite a lot of ants in certain areas. I used insecticide chalk and they disappeared. However, they keep coming back after a certain period of time so I must regularly draw lines using the insecticide chalk on the corners and nooks and crannys. Another bad experience is when my three-year old cousin whom I was supposed to be watching stepped on a mound of ants and got bitten a lot. I was 12 and was busy playing, so I didn't see where she was going. I didn't get bitten by aunts, by I got a major scolding.

hi ferbiejohn oh yes a number of years back we lived in tempe Arizona. I was housesitting for my parents who had gone back to South Dakota. I was out in the yard and decided to weed the weeds from the graveled drive way. Suddenly I felt these sharp stings of pain and saw why.Both my hand were covered by little red ants. they were' biting me and giving off a odd scent. like formaldehyde. All of a sudden I could barely breath. I hurried in the house and asked my sister to call our doctor and tell him I was having a reaction to ant bites. he arrived a few minutes later and started an IV on me . as it dripped in my throat began to loosen up and I was breathing from the oxygen he had brought along. He told mw I had an allergic re action to all those bites. they produce formic acid in one's bloodstream. It had been my misfortune to dig in an area that 'was actually their ant hill. so I stayed away from that place for sure.

Ok, never sleep with sweets besides you esp a chocolate. You know that ants have special way of tracking/smelling sweet things that they loved so much. I don't like ants also, they bite to itchy and keep our foods spoiled once they attacked it. They also brings bacteria since they come from everywhere...ew...

My peanut chocolate was also eaten by ants at the top of plastic cabinet but it was little one that I'm planning to take to the office. You should put your food at the ref or canister if your going to eat it again later for proper storage. Ants are everywhere, they are mighty soldier of they're kind but their act is not good for human.

One time I ate a Dairy Milk chocolate. Then I put cover on my desk. Then I went away.. Sometimes later I came here near the desk. There are lot of ANTS...!!! Because of in the cover some chocolate pieces on it..!

i had some bad experience with ants. Once i got my favorite sweet. Ants in my home spoiled all the sweets. So, always keep the sweets away from ants !!!

I'm so sorry about your chocolate, ferbjohn.:( You're not alone. It happened to me, too. A few months ago, someone had given us a cake. We put it on the table. When we decided to eat it, we saw hundreds of ants already feasting on it. Ants has been a problem in our home. We've bought a few sachets of powder (I don't know what it's called) to kill the ants. That had temporarily solved the problem. They still keep on coming back.:( We had to store our food in an airtight container or inside the fridge. Another incident, when I was in college, a friend gave me a tiramisu. I've never tasted a tiramisu before so I was very happy. I had to attend a P.E. class, so I left my things on the floor. When I got back, millions of ants had already gotten inside the box.:( I was so upset. I didn't have guts to tell my friend about it. I just pretended to have eaten the cake.

that's a funny experience. They are known to be the hardest working insect of all because they always look for food to store it in their place. I have not experienced such, having ants in my body because of food. But ants targeting and taking some parts of our foods normally happens. We actually have a lot of ants at home that my mom usually sprays them insecticides because it's looks so scary when there are really lots of them. Although I am fascinated looking at them when they are walking in the walls, and they seem to always greet each other.

Hi ferbjohn,its really very funny incident.Ants might be very angry on you because how come you didn't share your happiness with them.They might be watching since from very long time in sorrows,happiness...You might have shared all your bitter moments with them and when you are in a happy mood you completely neglected them and clebrating yourself...its really very bad.That might have hurted them and they took revenge on you while you are sleeping...Just kidding..Happy mylotting.

Of course! Ants, they make me work. But I am not so bothered by them. Because if they havent made me work, I would have been fatter than I am right now, not working to have them off my food. How they make me work? I just have to remember to put back the lid of the sugar jar. Put back the lids of everything. And when I think they havent got any access to anything sugary, I found them in my plain water jug. My mother in law told me to put some poison around where they may wonder. But I have a 2 yr old so she is as curious as the ants and poison anywhere in not a good idea. I find that when you wipe off what you have described as their secretion, that reduces them to keep coming back. I have also tried smearing cooking oil around the things that I want to keep them off. About your chocolate. Keep a plastic container nearby next time you want to nap and have your chocolate later. O so your bad experience was stepping on an ants hill? I would hate if that happens to me. Hmmm I wonder what will be the solution not to accidently step on an ants hill? I am quite adventurous and would not want such an incident to spoil my adventure. I think I would have to bring precautions like calomine lotion or something like that.

actually it also happen to me but that was a candy that my sister gave to me,that candy was really delicious and kept the left over that i had but after the night of sleeping they ate my candies and my closet had many ants that made me frightened.

Aw, I'm sorry about your chocolate! Ants can be real scavengers...In fact, I guess that's why they are. They'll eat anything they can find. I bet finding chocolate is like finding a pot of gold to them! Ants are the grossest bugs in my opinion. I can even tolerate spiders more than them...At least the spiders eat the other bugs and don't invade my food!

I also really hate ants because there are lot of time that they disturb my sleep. I don't eat inside my bed or in my room so i'm confuse why there are lot of ants biting me when i'm sleeping or when i'm lying in my bed. I just shhhoo them away in my bed sheet until i can't take it anymore,I decided to change my bed sheet and comforter and then i found out that they make my comforter as there house so there is always ants in my bed. I really hate them. Sometimes i'm thinking what is the importance of ants..

I despise ants. They are by far my least favorite bug. They hurt when they bite, they are tiny, their bites itch for days after, they are relentless, and worst of all they are everywhere. I just got really itchy while typing this. lol.
