In dark, cloudy moment when things are just messed up and you feel more than ever as though you are alone. The day when nothing goes your way and you feel like a fool for one reason or the other, what do you do to cheer yourself up and not to give up with this life you've already started living?

For me its my children.. My 2 boys have a way of cheering me up with there simple hugs kisses and smiles.. Even when I feel that dark cloud following me around, One look at those boys makes me remember how wonderful my life is with them in it..

It can be hard on a person to overcome those kinds of days. I think one thing to do is to just get out of the house and go somewhere to take your mind off things. Go to the mall and walk around and look at different items. Treat yourself to something small. Go to the movies and watch something funny. Read a fun book. Turn on the television and watch a bunch of comedy shows. Go outside and be one with nature and really appreciate what is around you.

Hi takie23, I have always believed that when the going gets tough, eventually the tough will get going. What I am trying to say is that, no matter how hard things seems to be, time will make it better. Whenever I feel down or upset, I will go out for a long walk. No rain or shine can stop me.Being alone with nature for few hours helps me to sort out my feelings and allows my mind to adapt to a more rational thinking. This is how I have been coping with my stressful life lately.

When i feel lonely, but i have extra money, i would fetch my husband from his office after their dismissal and we eat out. Upon arriving home, i would tell him what's bothering me so he could comfort me. His advise, comfort, hugs and kiss are enough to take my gloom away.

Living in this stressful world is so tough.I have survived and lived well enough. I don't need anything to cheer me up but to try to look back of how far I've been through is just enough for me to cheer me up. I struggled a lot in this life. Having a poor family is tough. Now that I have survived and get on a few inches higher in this life. I am now happy for I'm blessed.

You too? I reached out to my two best friends . I talked to them. These guys are the two people I Knew would miss me if I ever just disappeared. They just gave me support and I began to feel better. so don't just sit there , reach out to good , close friends.

I usually just watch a movie, either comedy or drama... comedy movies lighten up my mood for a while. But drama, especially tragedies are more effective since they can make me cry and let out all the bad feelings. They also make me realize how beautiful life is and that we should be grateful we are alive.

To cheer myself up, I'd just listen to music or watch tv or play video games. I'll even do things that I like to do. Go pray and meditate and also do things you enjoy to cheer yourself up. Make your self happy by being happy. I guess you just have to entertain yourself.

definitely chocolate! and of course prayer. I leave all my worries to my God and it will make me feel better. Also I believe that everything happens for a reason and that problems will make us stronger for a better future ahead.

I listen to my favorite music and also try to read a page out of the Bible and Bhagavad Gita to get a message from God. I do get the answer to my despairs and I can assure you that HE will not let anybody down.

Just as you said we have already started by thinking what will we do to cheer our self up? It is but a dark, cloudy moment that we have associated to it is true. Do we dare consider this over and over then explore our loneliness for how long; for everyday can not be just the way we desired and nothing is nothings for us it is true. We are not fools in our reflections but see it just like you said. Why it is all part of living and living like this; we did do that for a moment. Now, we need to cheer up? I think we will want to. Shall we then soon?

I used to think in a positive ways because we are the one who handle our best, the best for ourselves. When we think that theres no more chance then we are fooling ourselves so its better to release our emotions and start our life to the best that we can be.Its our choice to set our lives in a better living and full filing with.

I would try and look back at my life and be grateful for the great things that have happened to me, the beautiful people in my life and that there are still some people out there who got it worse than me. and if all else fails, eat chocolate. or anything sweet.

Everyone gets some frustration in his or her life. Somethimes thinking of those who are more unlucky than you may cheer you up, though it seems a little brutal. There is another way out of there. It comes to communication. Talking to your friends can alleviate your sorrow, if not sweep it. You can have a try. Good luck!
