Benefits of adding more interests to our profile.

well for me it is beneficial to have a large number of interest in your profile since through this, you have a wider range of discussions you could choose from. it also helps for me sknce it is boring to talk about same things over and over again. if i only have, say 10 interests, i would get tired of those over the years and would want something new to talk about. it is also nice to have a wide range of interests because it could help you know more about different topics.

You can make many interest add.When i was new in here i did not have interest much..But ,when i response to the discussions and did not have any i will add it to mine..so i can start with it,,

Hi... It is advisable not to look at it professionally. When I add an interest, I do it just because I truly am interested in it. E.G. cricket! I added it, because I enjoy Cricket, I have its knowledge and I can talk about it or at least I'd not be bored to read about it. So don't look at professionally or from the point of view of making money. MyLot is a passioan for most of us and not just money making site...

Hi naseem, Adding more interests mean we get more topics otherwise there is no use for adding interests. If we type something then only we get paid, I mean we don’t get paid by simply adding interests. Most of the time I added the interest when posting my reply by seeing the question, ‘do you want to add this interest..’ It is just because to avoid the question again and again. I will explain, suppose you replied to one topic, then skip the interest or not adding the same then you want to give additional comments when the host give a reply to us, the same question will pop again and again, it irritates me so I add the interest in the beginning itself to avoid the repeated question. It is not necessary to participate every topic under the same interest. I will participate only then I have something to say.

I have added more than 1100 interests during the four years that I have been a member of MyLot. I am interested in so many different topics and whenever I see a category that seems interesting I add it. It would be impossible to visit of the those interests on a regular basis, but I don't want to delete them if I find the topic interesting. Some days there isn't much activity on Mylot and there are few new discussions in the popular catagories that I usually visit. When that happens I like to visit some of the smaller interests groups, and I often find some interesting discussions there. I think that the biggest advantage about many interests is the number of discussions and topics that we are able to choose from.

Adding more interest in your profile lets you see discussions posted under those interests. If you feel you want to earn more by participating from fellow members then it is one of the best way to do. But if you are too lazy to check out new discussions posted on different interests, and don't have any interest at all on such topic... then you have the freedom not to add up more interest. Instead, participate only on those interests you feel more amusing.

I tend to only use a few interests, and I respond to discussions posted by my friends on any subject rather than by interest. I really don't see how lots of interests on my profile could benefit me either.

You do not need to worry how will you respond to all topics posted on interest that you have. I only respond to topics that I can relate with no matter how long the list of topic is there in my "friends started" The good thing is,the more interest,the more topic that you have for choices.

You should answer discussion in the list of todays top discussions, since you may be able to answer discussions which is not in your list of interests yet.. you can add them later after you tag the discussion.

When you have listed lots of interests, the 8 interests that have the most recent activities are shown on the top. Thereby, giving you a chance to see what others are discussing and giving you a chance to participate in different discussions. I do not necessarily participate in all my interests, but I would not dream of deleting those interests. Sometimes I just read through, and sometimes I do participate.

I believe a member can add as many interests in his or her profile that he or she feels are relevant. If a member thinks he can contribute a lot to discussions in those interests, I respect that. And since we are intelligent and curious creatures, it is not surprising for humans to be interested in numerous things.

I think it will be really helpful in our activity because some times being a human we have nature which always demand change so for the change of taste or interest we can move to other interests easily. Some time our mode also take us to the new Interests so it will help a lot. Although you have to make some real group of friends too to make your progress to the next level by getting help from them and some good suggestions and ideas.

If you have no time to participate in all the interest's then there will be no use of adding more interest's. But if you are an active member it will be easy to participate in discussions very frequently at your interests page. As a new member i got benefited very much by adding new interests to my profile.. Till now i am adding more interests to my profile...
