What? You have got to be kidding! The injections have dangerous side effects and have caused some deaths in the past. "The Government Accountability Office (GAO) reported in June 2007 that “some servicemembers who received the anthrax and smallpox vaccines” experienced “severe reactions such as migraines, heart problems, and the onset of diseases including diabetes and multiple sclerosis. The vaccine has never been tested on juveniles, and no one is certain how a child’s developing immune system will react. Experts believe they are more likely to have severe reactions than their military counterparts. In fact, scientists are unsure of the proper dosage to administer to children, whose parents would have to volunteer them for the research." What reason can there be for using our kids as guinea pigs? This is just not right!

I find it hard to believe that authorities would inject anyone, let alone teenagers or childern with an untested vaccination. There is no way it would be allowed here.
Why would teenagers inthe US need a vaccine for small pox, or even anthrax for that matter?
I can understand US serviceman needing some of these vaccinations, if they are serving overseas, but I would have though smallpox eradicated in the US.

It's supposed to protect against a possible terrorist attack.

I have not heard anything about Obama wanting to inject our children with anthrax. Where did you hear that? I do not think that he would ask that of anyone considering that we all know that anthrax has severe side effects and what parent would allow that? This must be a false report that someone has given or something.

I put a link to the blog talking about it. Since I started the discussion, I received an email saying the "powers that be" have voted to go ahead with the trials.

It is not right but it is already what is happening since years. All vacciantions and medications do have side effects but nobody cares. They also don't care if you really need it, if they are still effective after all these years or if you have health problems why you should not use certain vaccinations or medication because they cause more damage.
I don't know how the rules are but over here (in the Netherlands) you can still refuse a vaccination or medicine.
I do believe it's your own responsibility what you accept or let anyone put into your or your kid' s body.
So if you don't agree with it, are concerned or have bad experiences refuse! (and count on the fact everybody will find you dumb and they will act as if you are not able to use your common sense)
