I have to say that things seem to be better with our new roommate.
We went earlier today to pick him and his dog up and bring them over. His dog is a scared rescue, was abused before he got her, and I can see how stressed out she is with the move.
But I have to say that my dog Jazz has perked up significantly since he's met her. He's almost acting like a younger dog around her.
She runs around the room, back and forth to the bedroom, but wont come up to us yet. She's too afraid of people still.
But this guy is so respectful of us, asks if something he's going to do is going to disturb us or not, and making sure that he's quiet.
I think it's going to work out with us. I can't wait until his dog gets comfortable around us. I will enjoy tossing a ball around for her and maybe taking her for walks, she is just so energetic.
Seems like things are finally turning around over here, and that makes me happy.

Oh I am glad that thusfar it sounds like all is good and do hope it continues this way. Both of you deserve a little financial freedom. I am glad the dogs also are getting along it certainly is a good sign that issues will not aise there.
This is perfect timing with Christmas nearing it certainly takes a bit of burden off you both with the changes with work too.

Hi, kris.....That's great for you all. It's about time you got a break with something. Hopefully, he will be able to stay for some time and you won't have to be worried about "the renter" anymore. I'm glad that you're feeling comfortable with him.

What a great post. Does he not have a vehicle? It sounds like he is going to be acting like family, and that will be great for you.

Hiya kris,
Jazz what an original name for a Dog had not heard that one before. If he or she was badly treated sometime before then Jazz will surely be afraid to trust People.
Our Dog is still afraid of some Men. Some it will go to but not to others it still bolts and runs the other way. I don´t scold him I try to make him sit and stay without comforting him as they say it makes them worse.
Really its hard to tell what you should do but time heals a lot so hope she goes to you eventually and you can enjoy each other´s company and go for lots of walks.
Good luck and hope she bonds with you soon.xxx
