Diego my grandson, saved the first puppy that Silka, their god, had. My daughter who was helping while the puppies were being born, had thought it was dead. Diego, 10 years old, cleaned it, cuddled it and the puppy lived. Ht named it Salvador. Here´s the first picture I got. What do you think?

Sound's very human but anyway, I love puppies. Diego is a Hero! Thanks to him that the puppy live, I guess there are times that after born the puppy may having hard time to breathe cause of the placenta still in their face. Sometimes the dog can't clean it all, I've been there everytime my dog delivers so I also helping her deliver and clean the puppies.

It is said that the first thing that animals smell after being born, they consider as their mother. So I guess the puppy thinks that Diego is its mother? Diego did an excellent job in saving the puppy.

I´ll ask Diego how does Salvador behaves towards him. But Diego does recognise Salvador from the other 2 puppies although they looks rhe same to me.

Sometimes a little love, a little rub and lots of warm care can give life just the boost it needs. Glad that happened here. Blessings

I am sure this will be a very strong influence in his life, you can reinforce it by mentioning it every once and a while through the years. There are few opportunities to push the positive issues in a growing child's life why not use them to install a positive energy right where it belongs in his heart. Blessings

I´m sure the experience was very important for Diego´s life. And he will not forget it for a long time. Even if he cannot keep the puppy, he will always know that this puppy is alive thanks to him.

I honestly believe that there is magic in children and that is why they are able to save dogs and other animals. I know that my daughter would be one of those children that would do everything that she could to save a puppy because she loves animals so much. In fact, she was the one that had me take a baby bird that had fallen out of its nest to the ASPCA so that they could try to help it where I wasn't able to do that.

It´s a pity that we lose that magic when we get older. I think it´s a way of looking at the world with wonder. We forget that.

Salvador is really a very cute puppy. And I bet he´ll grow up to be a very handsome dog as both parents are collies.

oh,i like dog very much ,it's a part of my life .but in china ,rabies is very common. 2000 people was killed by the rabies .

In my country you have to vaccinate your dog for rabies each year. The vet gives you a certificate. If you don´t have the money for that, the municipal council has a place where you can get your vaccine cheaper. It your dog bites someone and you don´t have the certificate, you have to pay a fine besides the attention of the bitten person.

It is a pity! I learn about China and see it´s such a powerful country. Yet it seems that chinese have big problems that have not been solved. Our country is smaller so peoblems are smaller too, I suppose. But we do have them. Thanks for sharing.

oh ,that is really perfact system .you know ,chinese government is very incapable . for instance, the food ,the high speed rail ,the bridge .the road . every project is under corruption.if you want get the work of public (i don't know how to explain in english ),you must bribe the official.so that will not guarantee the purchase is Under the strict supervision?in the end ,our high speed train was crashed. almost forty people was killde in this accident.

Hello my dear friend. I think that Salvador looks gorgeous. I like his markings on his coat very much indeed. I believe his coloring is very attractive indeed. Diego did very well to clean Salvador and it is happy he lives. I have two miniature poodles called Secret and Magic. Hug.

I know about your poodles, Maxine. It seems that My daughter will not be able to keep Salvador, with 3 boys, an all day job, 1 dog and 2 cats. But I think that Diego´s deed was important to him anyway.

Maybe Diego should consider being a veterinarian, when the time comes to make that decision. Any chance that you will keep one of the puppies, too?

I cannot have a pet now, not with my chemo and my defenses very low. I have my house with hospital cleanness and even change shoes when I go out. As for Diego, we´ll see when the time comes. I´m very proud of what he did, but children change carreers a hundred times when they are small. I wanted to be a singer at some time of my life, yet I cannot sing

hello friend, Diego should have named him " salvado " (saved) cause the real "Salvador or savior is your very brave grandson Diego but I guess being the savior he has the honor of naming him whatever he wants to. You have beautiful dogs, perhaps Salvador would grow up to be a real savior too, collies are very intelligent dogs and I'm sure he will return the favor to all of you by being a good guard dog

I said the same thing to him. But he replied that the word "salvado" reminded him of wheat bran (bran is called salvado in Spanish). Anyway, I agree that Salvador is a better name if not appropiate. Silka, the mother, is a dear. I don´t know how she moves around the house without turning everything upside down with her tail. Have a lovely weekend.

yeah and "salvado" in some usages could also mean salvaged, left over, or what is leftvery confusing, guess he made the right choice, "Salvador" would be just fine

I must say Salvador is not only a very very cute puppy but looking at his picture, looks like he is quite sharp too. Diego has done a marvelous job. They'll make great friends for sure. Will he keep him for all the time now?

I hope my daughter will find a way. But she is a single parent, has 3 children, 1 dog and 2 cats. I don´t know if she´ll be able to take care of another pet.
