...Well,it sure feels like it...! My new kitten can already appear to be in about 5 places at once..a little furry bundle of energy, climbing my leg to get on my lap, somehow getting up onto my armchair, tapdancing on the keyboard..you name it! How does someone cope with a family of them? Anyone?!

That's very cute! My newly adopted little kitty pretty do some of that stuff, when there is feet near her, she plays with it. She also play with dry leaves and anything. My two older cats hardly play anymore but I caught the two male playing and chasing each other.

My first cat came scratching at my door as a stray kitten,so I'm impressed you too took one in that you found..how have things worked out since? do you have a new furry member of the household now,or has the kitten gone to someone else?

Anything moving is a toy for this kitten, even my 2 year old niece's feet is not safe . My sister told me that the kitty play with my niece's feet and the baby could only say awwwww but cannot get out of the situation haha. The kitty's nail tickling in my feet.
Talking about kitty, I found a kitty on my way to work this morning just a few steps on our gate. (S)he's crying while on top of about 3-4 feet hill with plastic straw tied too tightly on his neck. (S)he fell into the ground and I grab here, I could untie the straw so I put her into small cage at home and cut the straw. I leave cause I will be late at the office, my sister text me, she fed the kitty with milk. My mother and most family member is against another cat in the house, but I need to keep her figuring out what to do.

Lol - I have never owned a cat but, when we had puppies in the house it was hard work indeed keeping track of them all once they started walking!! It was like one would be over there....another going in the opposite direction - madness!! Lol x

Wouldn't puppies just follow you around the house when they explore? the kitten lies in wait for me and attacks my ankles from behind, and I have to watch where I put my feet while walking around as (S)he keeps trying to get my toes and getting underfoot in the process..

I've never been in a house with a litter of puppies running around..they must be a handful to try and control, but the cute overload would be worth it!

They do but, they do also like to jump out too if they are in a playful mood although even running after you can get a bit hectic when they start to run into the back of you and trip you up! Lol x

I can't even cope with one cat so I really can't cope with a family of them. I know cats can really be hyperactive and would do just about anything that will sometimes be bothersome although sometimes they could be funny and entertaining. But honestly, I never have the patience with cat so I can't keep cat at home.

Yep,Patience is something you need in great quantities having a kitten around..I have been careful to close doors so he wouldn't get stuck somewhere that's not kitten proof, but he'd followed me into the bedroom while I was getting ready for work the other day and was exploring under the bed as I closed the door..I don't fully close them, but at that point he hadn't figured out how to open it again to get out until I got home,so was still in there..He's been practising since,as I woke up having my toes played with this morning!

Welcome to your new life of being owned by a cat. They have their own agenda and occasionally you might be a part of that. I've had cats for the most part of my adult life and have learned that I'm in their thought processes only when it is time to eat and sometimes to play....when they choose and how they choose.

Well said. Cats are independent and we can't train them as we do with dogs. If you forget to feed them in time, they don't mind getting it on their own. But dogs, just wait until you feed them.

Thanks, but I've been there already-this is my second time under new kitty management! A friend from work's cat had kittens, and She'd been promising me one..my first cat having passed over a year ago from illness,I was hesitant from painful memories of that..and She arrived at the door this past Tuesday with this tiny furry explorer, making my mind up for me! Better go here..trying to type while having my thumbs mugged!

Welcome to the kitty world. It is a cat's world after all. We have a 5 year old cat. Well she is more like a dog then anything. But we recently took in 2 cats to babysit them while the owners were out of town. ( Which ended up being 6 months later- but the is another story.) These creatures are fast, and seem to pop up everywhere. The thing with cats, it is there world, we just live in it.

Lol that is so cute. I only have one kitten so I don't know how it feels to be surrounded by lots of cats . I think the best way is to give them some cat toys so they can play by themselves. My kitten has her own toys that is why she is sometimes in her own world, playing with her toys.
