How do turn your bad into good mood?

What if, you just woke up one morning that you are totally in bad mood. Might be because of nightmares of bad dreams you had the night you slept. How do you handle when you're facing that kind of scenario. Do people around you are affected by your mood swings? Or you just handle that smoothly by easily turning your bad mood into good one.
For me I find that a little harder to set my emotions and moods at its best all the time. Sometimes I am an outgoing person, joker and jolly but sometimes I don't wanna talk and just want to be with myself. It depends on my moods at that every moment. And I easily get irritated if people keep asking me repetitive questions if I am not in good mood. But if I'm in a good mood I tend to be very patient in explaining and sharing my views. And could also say that I am very detailed when I answer most questions. So if I feel that I am not in good I tend to stay at a distance from other people. How about your how do handle moods swings? Are you good in handling your mood changes smoothly? How?

Simple....I pray to God then meditate and then after while, I will listen to music since music can calm our nerves and it makes me forget the reason why I am in such a bad mood.

When I'm in a bad mood, I isolate myself and linger at the reason why I'm in a bad mood. I get pretty snippy when in a bad mood, and I don't mean to hurt people. It makes me cry, but then it also helps take away the bad mood. Also, I listen to good music. Eventually, I'm back to normal!

heheh happens to me too, more often than I would want.
Sometimes that happens the same as you, just after wake up, or other times after some event sets my bad mood. In those cases, I prefer to part away and not to make much contact with the rest of the world, for as much as possible, and when forced to, I just try to put my best face, even trough I know it's fake just to not be insulting towards other people. And almost always, I'm completely unable to turn that into good mood for quite some time. The "cure" I know is to sleep. I just lay in bed and sleep for as long as I can, and at the other day I feel better.

Everyone gets into a bad mood sometimes that threatens to ruin a perfectly good day. When that happends to me, I try to shake it off quickly so that I can get back to my happy life:) I give myself a treat, or hit the gym, or I just play some music... But sometimes bad moods just happen...it's just fine to let the bad mood ride.

I am a terrible person when it comes to being in a bad mood. I am grumpy most of the day and can tend to snap at people. I try really hard not to but it seems really difficult. On most of those occasions I try to avoid people as much as possible. It can be hard to avoid people in my house as I have 5 kids and my husband here. i think that they try to leave me alone if I seem to be in a bad mood. I would really like to find a way to change things but it is hard to do.

Hi mayrah
That is quite common to me. I mostly have a bad morning when I see nightmares and they kind of never go away
My wife is the only other person around and she knows me better now. So she is aware. Normally to make things better, I listen to some meditational songs or even go out (if I wake up early) on the terrace to have some fresh air and also look around at the sorrounding trees and plants. They help in recovering.
But for other times, normally I return back to my PC and start listening to music or even get busy with MyLot. That relaxes and refreshes me for sure.

I tend to watch sitcoms; because when something is funny, it doesn't matter how bad of a mood you're in you can't help but laugh. Sometimes all it takes is one really good laugh to make you forget about why you were upset in the first place.

I don't wake up in a bad mood, not ever. So I don't have this problem. But as my day goes on I might get into a bad mood because of something that is happening to me at the time. When that happens I just take a break and sit down and think it out so I can try to find an answer to it and get over it. Sometimes that doesn't work so if I can I will lay down and take a nap. If that doesn't work I just light up a reefer. lol

talk to you later

I have mood changes often and just learning how to handle it. I found that it helps if I start thinking about what is good for me in that bad situation and what I can learn from it. Like when I had a nightmare i start to think how good it is that it's not reality and that real life is better than that. Or when i have a small accident I try to feel lucky that it was nothing serious. But sometimes those bad feelings give motivation to change something that we feel we don't deserve.

Oh! I've experienced this a lot of times. I usually hang out in my room if I'm really in a bad mood cause I don't want to "infect" people (namely my parents) with it. Surfing the net is a very good way to relax. Just checking the updates or even reading funny stories could lessen my bad vibes. If staying inside is not possible, I go out shopping! That's definitely the best way to get out of a freaking bad mood...might be a little expensive though.
