i heard someone promoting a concert on TV and when i look at who she was... she is Anne Curtis a very popular host and actress here in our country. but that is not the topic... the topic is she does not know how to sing. she sings out of tune. i mean after the shine of Charise Pempengco here in our country and around the world then someone like this will promote a concert. i mean where is the respect for the others who are treu artist. people who are talented and who sings well. are you going to spend money for this kind of things? i read some myloter started a topic that she walked out of a Kesha concert for Kesha's voice suck... and now a person who does not know how to sing will have a concert?

The shame about the entertainment industry is that it is often who you know versus how talented someone is. It is sad that there are sooooo many talented musicians out there that will never be heard while there are those who know this one or that one who have to be auto tuned just to be presentable.

auto tuned is correct. and they will bring out all that heavy high tech gadgets to the concert so that it will sound like a recording studio. i want to record also a cd of around 7-8 songs. well this is only for fun. songs of me and my wife. that is my wish to have a cd har har har. thanks a lot fro the response and have a great weekend.

That's a great idea! It would be alot of fun for the two of you to do that too! I have been trying to play the bass a little bit when I get a chance. My b/f was excited about the thought of me playing with him..lol.

I sooooooo agree!!! I find it ridiculous that someone who does not know how to sing is now producing albums and now will be holding a concert! They are obviously just banking on her popularity as an actress and as a host! Some people may find it amusing and funny that she's a frustrated singer but to take it to another level like having a concert, I just think that it's a total waste of time, energy and money! There are other aspiring artists who are much better singers and who deserve a chance to shine and share their talents, and yet, they are wasting money on someone who is just using her charms and acting to pass on as a singer. I think it's really just ridiculous!
No offense meant to fans of Anne Curtis, I like Anne because she's funny, but the idea that a frustrated singer who actually does not have the voice, is given a chance because she's already popular with lots of fans instead of giving the chance to someone who really knows how to sing, just seem so absurd to me.

just like you said secret, i too meant no offense to anne's fans or with ann. i find her pretty and a good host. she is not shy to show her funny side on national television. now if she sings at her show then its okay... but a recording? then a concert? i just hope it turns out to be a worth to spend concert to those who will watch. thanks to you both for the response.

Indeed! But, that's the trend in Philippines. Not just anne but also other popular actress turned " singer ". Their albums sold out like hotcakes in the market.
Although she's funny, but I'd rather buy quality albums from a quality singer.

And then we listen to the magnificent voice of Susan Boyle and wonder why she can't be rich and famous for her talent. Oh yes, that's right, she isn't young and beautiful and she's a woman. (A man doesn't have to be young and beautiful, it seems.)

there are a lot of good singers who cant have a break, because the trend now is sexy, skinny, who can wear very very short clothes. gone are the days of listen to the voice and no matter how this person looks important is how good and how great talent that this person have. susan boyle sounds like an angel. soothing to the ear and very relaxing. i guess with the guys... the more they aged the more they become attractive. thanks a lot for the response.

all about the money and the popularity. watching this is simply waste of money and time. i just hope that whatever she is getting from here will be given to the poor and the needy then i would understand that. i just hope too that people will get their moneys worth. thanks a lot for the response.

Kidding aside, this is just one sign that our music industry is not getting any better. Here in the Philippines, as long as you are popular and good looking, they would put you in movies even if you do not know how to act (like those fresh teenage starts) and you will also have a chance to create you own album even if you do not know how to sing (hmm Manny Pacquiao? ). Producer/managers do this to milk money from you, especially if you are one of the 'hottest' stars. They know that even if you do not have the talent, people would still patronize your work because they love and idolize you. Sad but true.

sad but true and crazy har har har. most of the people who will watch specially on the front row are her friends then the rest will be complimentary tickets. i have nothing against anne curtis but i guess she is making a fool out of herself... but we also have to accept that making a fool of herself makes her more bankable personality in the philippines. thanks a lot for the response

Its a very good joke regarding Anne Curtis who left the concert with a bad voice which is real artist should not bear with.
