As every body knows I work in a hospital and everyday is a challenge for me each day a new kid is born and since I work in the NICU department babies are now my focus, day in and day out I chart give medication, when one cries another cries and another and all of them explode in a crying unison it's so stressful that you would just like to quit your job at the moment but only one thing stops me, it's not the monetary reasons that stops me it is the peace that I see in this cutie little babies each time they smile at you, each time they giggle so I ask you how can you remain stressed with that. I'd rather handle 20 crying babies than 5 grown-ups. The only reason is fullfillment because with children satisfaction is seen through there smile, when they sleep and when they relax after being diaper changed while in grown-ups you can do one help of a job yet still will not show you any appreciation for no good reason whatsoever.

aww you have a good heart. I don't think I'll be able to take care of multiple babies in one room, I'll probably get crazy.
I remember my working days back when I was still employed. I was often so stressed that when I come home, I just want to sleep.
Good luck on your career.

Great post - I agree that you have a job where the highs are so high and the stress is so great.
Maybe a baby you work with today will stay alive three hours - - but it is the best 3 hours aof her life and you have had something special to do with that.

i wish i had your job. Being around alots of babies is fun. It's more fun then being around 120 people on a line. At my job there is 5 lines and 14 to 15 people work on a line.

Oh, me too, I'd rather handle handful of babies than grown-ups! It's so kind of you to be working in NICU, keep it up and don't quit. They need you there. Even if a job is a difficult one as long as you are enjoying and are happy with it, at the end of the day you feel satisfied that you have done something you wanted to do - caring for the babies. Good luck!
