My aunt had a biopsy today because she had a suspicious lump on her chest, and the initial results were given just this afternoon and it said "ductal carcinoma". I am the only one in the family from the medical field so they texted me what it meant. I sure knows it meant cancer but I dont know how to tell her family and her especially. I havent texted them back. What should I do?

I think that most of the people who read and write and have accesss to internaet can check up what "ductal carcinoma" means. And maybe what she wants from you is a little reassurance about the possibilities of that kind of cancer. Do ask her exactly what she wants to know, but let her doctor say the last word.

Well dear you don't really have to hesitate in telling the truth. You tell them what you know so that they could start the medication. Don't worry if the cancer is not at the latter stage then it is highly possible to cure it. In fact I've known latter stages that were still saved by using the holistic approach. Well you are in medical field so you must be more inclined to favor the traditional way of healing cancer but it has been proven time and again that synthetic medicine has side effects and chemotherapy is killing the person the person just the same because it does not only kills the cancer cells but also the good cells which are actually very important in fighting the cancer. I would rather advice (even if you don't solicit it) that you put you use alternative medicine for her. My sister was cured of cancer by using all natural means. It takes just right diet and strict disciple. You may look at this link if you want to know how she gets cured http://healthmad.com/conditions-and-diseases/the-most-effective-cure-for-cancer/
Now if you would like to consider going to a doctor who practices alternative medicine then here.

With today's new technology and continues research and development cancer can be treated now, you should tell her to consult a doctor for that matter so she could find some treatment about her health, don't hesitate to tell her the truth so she could find out soon the cure

Iam in medical field too. What I know is that the doctor is the only person who is supposed to give a diagnosis to a patient. It is good for you not to tell her right away and wait for her doctor to inform her first. You can just tell her that you think is a type of growth and inform her that the doctor will elaborate more, from there on, you can be involved by trying to do the best for her in managing the condition.
