It depends on which type of graphics card you want. Mainly there are 3 categories of graphics card: 1. Budget: - Palit Radeon HD4670 Price Rs. 4000( approx 80 $) in India - Sparkle GeForce 9600GT at 4700 Rs - Asus GeForce GT440 at 5200 Rs. Out of these three i would suggest you to go for Palit Radeon HD4670, a very nice card and you can play even latest games in low configurations. 2. Mainstream: this is the most common and generally this is useful for most buyers. Anything above this, you will need powerful PSU and coolers for your PC, so this should be your best choice. Best options are: - ATI Radeon 5770 at around 9000 Rs. - Zotac GeForce GTS 250 at around 7000 Rs - Asus GeForce GTX 560 DirectCU - Overclocked edition Best buy would be zotac as it gives good performance for money but you can go for Radeon 5770 if you want a killer rig. 3. High End Graphics CArd - Nvidia GeForce GTX 590 at Rs. 37000 -Asus GeForce GTX580 at 28,000 -Asus Ares at 99,000 well if you have money then go for Asus Ares but GTX 580 is a very decent card and plays all the games at full resolutions.

yes! and also you might need to install large fans for coolers. ATI cards run at higher temperatures than NVIDIA cards, so if u install high end ATI card, you need to spend even that. That's wht i suggested NVIDIA for higher end graphics. But even for NVIDIA you might need to upgrade ur PSU. these cards require a minimum of 700 watts PSU

Well if you are a hardcore gamer i would suggest you to go with Nvidia since games are more optimized for Nvidia than AMD nowadays! Now if you dont play hardcore games like battlefield 3 on max a 6770 Vapor-x will do the work. Its a card about 100$ now which can play mid-hi games mostly on max settings. And if you're not a gamer you should buy the 9400GT which is a budget card that is especially designed for The Web but not for gaming! The choice is yours.Happy mylotting!

Nvidia, Asus and Radeon are the biggest names in graphics card category. The only thing you should know is the graphics memory required to run that game, you can go and buy and recent series graphic card from any of the above given companies. If you are not sure, you can also check on the website of the computer game company, they generally displays a list of graphics cards that will be required to play the game.

For midrange ati radeon 6850 and for high end buy 6970. ATI is better than NVDIA so enjoy your gaming sessions.

Hi syedmuhd82, it depends on your type of use. If you are using graphics card for gaming and all, you need a better one, since new games are releasing day by day. For other purpose like designing or animation, you needn't have an high quality one.
