I've been at the place where I work for a while & for past 3 years, I've been getting 3 weeks of vacation... I have 1 more week of vacation I have to take before end of April 2012... I've ran out of idea where to go between now & then... I do wanna stay within U.S. & within driving distance from where I live... I live in eastern P.A... When I say "within driving distance", I mean within 12 - 16 hours of driving distance... Any suggestions?

That is good news. Make sure you take all of your vacation. I'm not sure where in eastern PA you live (so do I) but you could drive to Florida, Virginia or Maryland. I like Williamsburg, Virginia. There is a lot to do there. I have also been to Annapolis, Maryland which is a nice marina area, they have great seafood. I've also heard that St. Michaels in Maryland is very nice. There are also some nice little beaches on the eastern coast of Florida that I have always wanted to see.

I've been going to Ocean City, MD twice a year for about 20 years now... I've seen it go through a lot of changes... There's one hotel I always stay in when I go there... I was on first name basis with a lot of them but now most of the staff has moved on... Last time I wen to Florida, I drove to Orlando, Florida... It was too humid down there for me... About 3 month ago, I drove to a place called "Belfast" in Maine... It was too quiet... May be I'll go visit Virginia... I haven't really been there... I did drive through once & stayed over night but I didn't get a chance to do anything... Thanks for the suggestions...

Ocean City, MD is nice. I think you need a break from it now though. You would enjoy Virginia. There are a lot of nice places to see there. Also I forgot to mention where we went on vacation last summer, Myrtle Beach, SC. We had a great time there. The water was so warm and there was so much to do there for the family.

I don't know where do you want to go though. I want travel too, but I am out of vacation days from my work. So, I have to wait until next year. Anyway, I still have thanksgiving holidays; Christmas holidays, and new year day. I guess I just have to wait until next year, then I will have 3 weeks vacation. I really want to go Bahamas on a cruise. Hopefully my dream will come true.

I think that it is lovely that you have one more week of vacation. I wonder if you could go up to New York State. It has interesting sites to enjoy. You could spend three days in a city and three days by the beach or in the countryside.
When I worked for a shipping company I had 4 days vacation allowed so I went to Paris from Tuesday to Sunday with my sister. The next year I had 20 days vacation allowed to I went to Tunisia in the spring and St Lucia in the autumn.

There are many things you could do within a 12 hour drive time. You could go to Busch Gardens in Virginia and Colonial Williamsburg, You can rent a house along any of the shores - cape may, hilton head, outer banks, etc. You could drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains and rent a cabin. You can go to Washington DC - most all the museums are free to enter, You can go Philadelphia (but you probably have done that already since you live in PA). It just depends on what your family likes to do and how much money you have to spend.

I expected that you could come to Indonesia. To travel to Indonesia is cheap. I didn't mind to accompany traveling along the way in Indonesia. I am coming from Indonesia and Indonesia is a beautiful and lovely country to be visited. If you wanna come, I suggested you to travel from the northwestern tip of Sumatra and end in the eastern part of Indonesia.
