You may be getting.. Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: windows path hal.dll. Please re-install a copy of the above file. you can repair your computer by Windows XP CD-ROM to start your computer. Select the Windows installation that you want, and then type the administrator password when prompted. go to your CDPATH:i386 path. copy hal.dl_ to C:\windows\system32 for example E:\i386\copy hal.dl_ C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ it will ask for confirmation to overwrite say it yes by pressing ‘Y’ and press Enter you can read all possible steps from : http://javadotnet.in/2011/11/08/missinghaldll/

Wow that really does sound weird. I have never heard of this error before, even though I have seen a lot of error messages on my computer! I hope you get it figured out by one of these awesome people here at Mylot!

I think your OS is microsoft and I think it is corrupted. It's seems to be the same error I experienced many times a few years back. All you can do is reformat your computer. If you have important files there and you don't want them to get deleted then you better remove the Hard disk and open your hard disk on other computer.
