breaded coating and fried. I had them in a restaurant once and I bought them in the frozen food section once and reheated them in my toaster oven. Have you tasted the poppers? Have you ever made them from scratch? I haven't, but I'm tempted. So what hot peppers and cheeses are popular in your area?

Sonic makes those poppers, but I don't eat them. In fact, I break out in a rash if I get too much of the pepper liquid on my bare skin...

no, I mean as much of the juice that you might get when you handle one to eat... I used that ointment that uses the active ingredient of peppers to help pain, I burned everywhere it touched for HOURS... I was in AGONY. "Oh, you'll get used to it..." they said... No I won't! I wasn't touching that junk AGAIN!

Yes, so did I. You handle it to prepare it and you get burned because it's full strength. I use Tiger Balm. There are 3 levels of strength. It should only burn when you first put it on. Then your body should send something out to kill that pain and in so-doing kill the arthritis, too. Should not take more than 15 minutes. Sounds like your body does not respond correctly and lets you just continue to feel the pain. Mine responds correctly. I think I could take a placebo, for that matter, and be better. You probably would do better with the menthol or mint-based pain killers. But maybe not.

I think most people's skin gets burned by hot pepper juice. They tell you to wear gloves and not touch your eyes. That's why I look for recipes with dairy to negate some of the burning. Because my tongue isn't as tough as my skin.

They make them with cheddar cheese or cream cheese here. Do they have the same flavors there?

I love jalopeno poppers. I prefer them with cheddar cheese inside but I also like the cream cheese ones too. I never made my own yet but I have thought about it before. I order them from the pizza places and they offer the cheddar and cream cheese variety.

Our pizza places don't seem to do the poppers here yet. We have bread sticks and chicken wings. It's NY, so go figure. Maybe we'll catch up some day. Thanks and take care.

I can't believe that the pizza places in New York don't make poppers. That is just unreal to me. I wonder if they call them something else there. We live in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia and our pizza places have been making them for years. Maybe it's just the pizza place that you go to?

My b/f makes them and they are pretty good. He uses a mixture of cream cheese and cheddar. He also wraps them in bacon! I had never seen that. He doesn't bread them..he bakes them. Everyone that tries them likes them alot.

Sounds good and until this discussion, I'd never heard of them with bacon either.

I never heard of poppers wrapped in bacon either. I'm sure they are very good. After all, just about anything wrapped in bacon is good.

Sounds like fun. Let me know if you do it and if you like it. Some countries people don't eat much dairy. Sounds like you love cheese like I do. Thanks and take care.

I've had them in the frozen section I think... they are real hot, I know. It'd probably be any variety of the mexican cheese that they used, and prolly pretty simple to make. Split the jalapeno put on some cheese, bread it.. voila!

If the cheese isn't hot and I took the seeds out, they wouldn't be that hot, just a little like these are.
