Well, today we will be having Thanksgiving take two with even more food! Usually we have only one Thanksgiving celebration but we will have a little get together with my brother and a few more relatives. I will be happy to see some of the people that will be there, but I do not know if I can handle stuffing myself again! I guess I can go ahead and handle it if I must. Anyone else out there today having a second Thanksgiving celebration? Lots more food for you to eat today? Hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving yesterday!

Actually, I had today off, but I'm going to be doing it two MORE times this weekend. Once tomorrow with my brother and his new girlfriend and again on Sunday with my brother and his daughter (who HATES the new girlfriend).

Yeah, keeping everyone happy is a major part of my life lately... but that's okay. Actually, my client went back into the hospital on Friday, and has been there ever since. So on Sunday I was fielding phone calls because I had claimed I was her sister. (her family doesn't mind)

Sorry about the delay in post! I love when I get days off on the holidays! It really makes me automatically get into the spirit of the holiday being celebrated. Wow, you have three celebrations, and I thought my two was too much! Sounds like you may have to keep some people happy with their surroundings! Hope it worked out for you!

We are on a visit, and will be having lots of leftovers, plus other foods that we prepared for when we were tired of turkey. I tried to not really stuff myself, but I did get a piece or two of pie.

Same here for us from yesterdays get together, I brought home a LOT of left overs. Had some for lunch today actually. Preparing a few dished as we speak to take with us to this second get together. You did a lot better than I did on how much was eaten. I definitely had to much and WAY to much desert. But, I always enjoy it every year in the end so I find it worth it.

Use to, except we'd have it the same day, we'd go to my relatives in the afternoon and his in the evening. Now we only have the one, but the leftovers let us have the same food for at least 3-4 days if not longer..:)

That is how it is for the people that go to the get together I was at yesterday. They go to the first one then they have a second group of family they go to in the evening. This one I went to yesterday was definitely scaled back this year. Left overs make it seem like it goes on for several days! Which is ok with me, I like left overs just as well sometimes!

We did not have a second Thanksgiving but we all stuffed ourselves with left overs the next day. I also had relatives in from out of town that weekend and we went out to eat at a buffet type restaurant while they were here and of course I stuffed myself there. Usually I don't gain wait over the Thansgiving holiday but this year I gained 3 pounds which really makes me upset becuase I spent the last 5 months losing 27 pounds. Now I have to get those 3 pounds back off before it is time to gorge at Christmas time.

Sorry for the delay in posting. I am also so bad about stuffing myself when you go to a buffet style place. It usually consists of me going back for several plates even after telling myself I will only get one or two. All the options just overwhelm me and I keep going back for more. I also had a few pounds to get off, still haven't! LOL

Sorry for the delay in post. I did definitely stuff myself for a second time! While it hurt my stomach for a while, it was worth it for all that great food! Happy Mylotting.

No, we do not celebrate Thanksgiving where I live. We celebrate Emancipation Dat when slavery was abolished and also Independence Day when we became independant country fron the U.K. I love turkey and al the dishes so yes, if I could have, I would have enjoyed having two thanksgiving dinners.

Sorry about the delay in post! I guess I never really thought about Thanksgiving being a select holiday for just certain countries. I guess that is where not learning as much about other countries as you should comes in. Sounds like you have a lot of good food on those days just as we do here in the US! Have a great day!

Belated "Happy Thanksgiving!" And you get to eat my share at both outings...and leftovers too! We had our Thanksgiving...well over a month ago! Must remember, your Canadian friends are North of the 49th...and most of our growing/harvesting season is over much earlier than yours...altho I still have tomatoes and peppers in the greenhouse without the heat on! All that goodness..is just a pleasant memory for us now! Cheers!

Sorry for the delay in post! I actually did not know Thanksgiving came earlier for Canada until one of the other people that posted on here told me. Always learning something new. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and I know my second one was definitely a great one! Happy Mylotting!

There have been days when I've had two Thanksgivings, usually lunch at the in-laws and then dinner with my parents. Those days are gone. Everybody (who is still alive) is spread too far apart, among other things.

Sorry for the delay in post, I understand what you mean about having family gone or spread out. That happened to my family and just this last Christmas it was almost like a reuniting. It really was great and we got to talk to each other and laugh and have a great time.
