Which would trouble you more ....

Hi all! There are two similar sounding words. I understand that both could create trouble for many of us. The words are 'weight' and 'wait'. I wish to know which of these worries you more. Do you bother about your increasing weight and keep thinking of reducing your weight? Or you find yourself tense when you are required to wait for someone without any valid reason. Or you fear both the words .... Lol!

wait!!!! i hate waiting. im told my personality is too driven at times so its hard for me to just...wait and be still. lol. i get anxious when im somewhere and have to wait for a friend to meet me or something. the only thing that bothers me about the word weight is that mine is a joke among my friends since they say its negligible :))

I have always been in shape.... Round! I have never worried about my weight. I think my last doctor did but I just blankly looked at her and let her talk. back then I was planning to kill myself about 2 years later so I didn't let her words even touch me. It was just another reason to die to me.as for waiting? I don't mind it. Many of my dreams I have waited to happen. The longest and the best wait was for my guy! he is worth the wait. So neither bother me.

Depends. If I need something as of yesterday (Deepu case hearing is on tuesday and the time just doesnt seem to fly), then wait can be so weighty. I am heavy..55 kgs..ha ha. No it does not worry me anymore. I know I have good and reliable friends like you, who will be willing to flex a few muscles to physically lift me and load me into an ambulance if need be. So not so concerned about weight I guess.

Hi Vandy! I can understand that wait for a case hearing could be killing but you will have to wait for the D day. You can not help it. You are over weigh dear if your wait is more than 50 Kg at this stage ..... Lol! Do something about it .... Lol! If need be your friends will always be ready to flex their muscles to throw you in an ambulance ... ..... Lol! Thanks for making us laugh by showing great sense of humour. :-)

And in any event you are strong enough to throw me in the ambulance instead of loading me in. Where is the need to feel that concern. :) Can you please pray for my case... please..........

LOL! They are just words to me and I don't fear them at all. I don't care about my weight cause I know I'm not fat. And I have no problem in waiting for people cause there must be a reason for them to be late. There you have it.

LoL! I fear both! I'm slightly underweight. I've been struggling to gain weight this past few years and I guess it's in our genes why I really don't gain. I've be eating a lot but still I have the same weight for years. :( I also have trouble in waiting! i hate it! But what else will i do? But then life gave me lessons which made me realize that there are things that are really worth waiting.

I think wait is more trouble than weight. The wait making trouble to others the weight only difficult to see. It is only one's personal matter but the other wait the 2nd person into difficult.

I do get irritated when I have to wait. As far as weight goes I gave up on that months ago. I had been going to the gym daily and really into it and lost about 35 pounds in a three month period but one day last Fall I just got tired of the whole situation and gave it all up. I eat what I want and enjoy it!

Hi Cel! It is really a problem to suppress our food carvings and this tendency of ours could increase our weight. You could always join the gym again, if you feel that things are getting out of hands. Thanks for sharing and joining us.

i think it is the waiting that could kill me. one of the things i hate is waiting. it always gives me an uneasy feeling to wait. in reducing weight, i could do something about it, given the will power. but to wait for someone or something can truly be annoying.

HI! Yes, you are right bing that waiting for something or somebody could put mental stress on us and we start worrying till the person or the thing arrives. We need to more patience and make ourselves understand that sometimes things get delayed due to reasons beyond control.

I am not a patient person when it comes to waiting, unless one will call or send me text message for delayed reason..I will give a consideration. But,without any notice, surely will not keep me waiting and leave the place or meeting place. Regarding weight...well, it is under control (lolz)

Hiya dpk, Ha none of those at the moment I have got fed up of waiting for so many things that I just let it all go and the weight in my case is keeping it on after so much stress. So I don´t fear either of those words at least not right now anyway.xxx

Hiya dpk, I am fortunate in the sense that if I try to overeat through being nervous I start to feel very full right away I have that alarm system in there and it is a very good thing to have. If ever I eat toast for example which I have just done I am full for the rest of the Day till about 3 ish. So you see I don´t feel the need in spite of all the stress I am going through at the moment to overeat and I also don´t feel the need to react to the stress unless it gets very tiring and even then I can switch off most times it does take willpower to let go it´s all too easy to get carried away by the first tidal wave of anger and upset. Of course I am not perfect and I don´t control, control quite the opposite most times. I don´t bother too much about tomorrow if I can help it. For all those with two or three kilos over the top I would not bother about it too much a wise Doctor here said it´s much better to make friends with those kilos if they don´t bother you they won´t stress you out so much and you won´t cause more weight gain.xxx xxx

Hi! i think both troubles me. My weight is only a liitle more than my ideal weight and i dont want to gain more. I hate looking at myself with bulging belly so i keep my diet controlled. I am in my prime at my metabolism is slower than before so i better choose non fattening, healthy foods. The word wait bothers me a little too. You see whenever i have appointments, i see to it to arrive on or before the agreed time. So when i am the one made to wait, i would be very upset. I detest people who are always late in appointments without valid reasons.

Hi triple! It is intersting to know you that you are very conscious about your weight and you resort to everything to keep it under control. Hope your efforts will prove fruitful and your weight will not increase beyond a limit. You are right waiting for someone could be a kind of mental torture and we wish to avoid it. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Deepak, I'm not afraid of any of those two words. I'm already fat, so no point in being afraid of the 'weight' . What's the point? I would like to lose some weight, but too lazy to do anything about it. 'Wait'...been there, done that. I just find something to occupy myself while waiting for something.

I would go for 'weight'. I could wait for someone for many hours. That's my talent I think. I could just stare at anything and I would forget about the time. Sometimes this talent of mine can be handy especially for us Filipinos. Filipinos most of the time are late so I always put this talent of mine into action. Gaining more weight on the other hand would be a no no for me. I barely cannot fit myself in my uniform and I'm sure if I gain a pound or two, I would have to buy a new, larger uniform. I have been trying to lose weight for months now but I still could not see results. Well, that's somehow my fault since I don't follow my rules every time. I have a One-cup-of-rice policy but I don't do it all the time especially when the food is too good to resist.

Hi Lara! I am really surprised to know that you have immense patience to wait for others and you do not get irritated waiting for someone. Hats off to you for your talent. You are right that problem lies in our temptation. Whenever we see food of our taste, we just can not resist and sometimes over eat to satiate our food carvings. Hope your sincere efforts to keep your weight under check will bring good results soon. All the best. Thanks for sharing your wonderful thoughts with us.

For me both the words are scary. "Weight" surely is more scary as it will make me look ugly which will indirectly effect my self confidence and finally I will end up into depression......... "WAIT" is not scary but since I am a kind of impatient person by nature, it is very difficult for me to wait for something. In other words I will not rest in peace till this waiting comes to its final destination, so if you have no peace of mind, then obviously you are going to make more mistakes and that means more problems and more tension.......so I will prefer to omit these two words from the dictionary of my life if possible.

HI aps! Do not worry even if you are over weight you won't look ugly. I understand that you look beautiful and will always look beautiful. Nonetheless, you could try green try and other such therapies to reduced or say control your weight. I can understand that waiting for someone could increase our tension and it could be killing sometimes. Thanks for giving me the idea of this discussion, now you know how the idea of this discussion came to me mind.

I walk thru life...as a "hurry-up and wait" person! WHY...I will never know...or maybe I do! Ingrained in me by my Father...he hated being late...and NOW, I am never late...but for that I have to wait (which I hate!) Sometimes it pays off, tho! During the summer I had many appointments for biopsies with different Labs...tissue, bone and bone marrow! Each one of them, I was more than an hour early...at each one I was taken in promptly! Not at my appointment time..BUT an hour early! The Oncologist even "thanked me" as the previous appointment had not shown up! Can you imagine..it is not easy getting an appointment with a specialist here in B.C....and to have one a not show! Wow! WAIT would be my achilles heel...WEIGHT, my weight just fluctuates about five pounds up and down! When I indulge, I do know that I will have to compensate...but it has NO WEIGHT on my MIND, like "WAIT!" LOL!

hi dpK I would be a fool not to worry about my overweight as I am a diabetic and the more weightt we have the harder to control our blood glucose. If I could just lose fifteen pounds even my doctor says I would be much more able to keep my blood suga where it belonged so I am trying at least. As for wait does not every one get a little teed off if you are made to wait for no good reason? I am not afraid of either word as common sense tells me do not fear things just act on them and solve the problem.
