Today, we ate out. We ate at a restaurant called Mang Inasal. They offer grilled chicken, barbecue, liempo, sisig and some others. But the best that they offer is the rice all you can on the meals. That is when you order this particular meal you can get extra rice without any charges. You can get as many rice as you can as long as you don't share it with your friends. We were really hungry since we ate lunch at 3 in the afternoon already and we just ate pan de sal in the morning. So my husband ate seven servings of rice. He really has a big appetite. While I ate 3 servings of rice. Wow! we were so hungry.
Do you also have this kind of promotion in your country? Do you enjoy it this promo? How many rice can you eat in one sitting?

Hello red_amethyst, I am not a big rice eater but if I am really hungry, I can easily down 4 servings of rice. I tried doing 5 rounds but I guess I am not cut out to go over 4 cups. I love rice all you can promo in some restaurants not because I love eating rice, but because it gives value for your money.

Hi red!
I seldom eat in Mang Inasal and I have not eaten more than a cup of rice there. But I eat a lot at Tokyo Tokyo and they also offer unlimited rice and that's where I have eaten more than one cup of rice. But I rarely can eat three or more cups of rice. Usually, I can eat only two cups when I'm hungry. And I just love the rice in Tokyo Tokyo! It's soft and tasty.

I know about that promotion over there because someone mentioned it before.. haha :D I'm a big eater of rice and if i missed my breakfast, having late lunch, i can eat up to 5 bowls of rice.. haha It's always the case whenever i finished my half marathon runs, i would stock up on my carbohydrates immediately with either bowls of rice or plates of pastas.. haha I really wish to have such promotions here, so that i can eat to my fill instead of having to pay 50cents for each additional bowl

Hi amethyst!
i am familiar with that because i am also a Pinoy just like you.
but unfortunately i do not enjoy those promo.
lol! maybe because i am weight conscious.
it was in high school when i started the "kaunti" rice diet.lol
i would only order half serving for rice and just the right amount of viand to satisfy my hunger and i got used to it.
but oh! when dried fish is served??
hmm.. i think i should forget dieting!

This doesn't work for me and not worth my money if I'd be eating alone. But I still go out with my family and eat at restaurants that offers unlimited rice. My brothers can eat a lot of rice. But me and mom cannot. We can only have one cup and that's it.
