This young man was 14 when he began studying ballet. When he graduated high school, he was accepted into the Boston Ballet training program. Then he made their second company and now, finally, two years later, he is a member of their corps de ballet. I am so very proud of this, wonderful, young man!

Thanks, so much! He was a natural talent and any good teacher could give him a good start. It's just nice to see them live their dream. Here is a photo of him.

Thanks, Jen. Did you see the photo that I posted of him? He has all that it takes.

Congratulations to your wonderful student for his hard work and dedication to his craft, and also to you, the teacher, for obviously giving him the encouragement and nourishing in him both great competence and love of ballet. I have a friend who formerly danced for Boston Ballet, and they seem like a talented organization. I hope he enjoys his experience and stays healthy to maximize his performance and his longevity thereof.
I myself was 14 when I started dance (jazz and tap - was 15 when I added ballet). So often people who start past the age of eight have to work ten times as hard for one-thousandth as much and it is exceedingly difficult - going on impossible at times - to find a teacher who not only has ample knowledge but also is willing to put rightful faith in a student who started ballet at a later age and provide them with all the same opportunities to excel as the stereotypical early starters receive.
You are most definitely an exceptional teacher and your student's recent successes are a testament to that (and of course his own commitment as well). Best wishes both to you and to him!
