Thats just crazy what happened

Life used to be so simple. It is silly to buy stuff you do not have money for and to turn it into priority. You will not catch us out doing stuff like that.

I heard that, too, about the woman pepper spraying other shoppers. If she got out of the store in time, that meant that she never got those deals she was willing to harm others to get and for that I am very happy. I feel so bad for those she pepper sprayed and hope they can find that insane woman and prosecute her. I hope those she harmed file civil suits against her, too. I'd LOVE to hear that her holiday celebration is ruined because she's spending it in jail. That is just another reason I won't even try to shop on Black Friday unless it's online. You can actually get some awesome deals online but some people would rather be the first to physically get their hands on these deals at the risk of getting harmed or harming others. Not for me! I'll never be that insane for a bargain. That's one reason I start my Christmas shopping right after Christmas. I find awesome deals throughout the year and if I know someone who would love that particular thing, I'll buy it, put it away and pull it out just before the next Christmas. That is, if I can remember where I put it.

People are nuts. I would have had to lose my mind to have shopped yesterdat. I have heard quite a few things on the news.

Yes, I heard it out here, on the news, on Friday. I just have to say that this lady is probably one planet short of a solar system.

There were alot of people camping out here in front of the stores even before Thanksgiving. Noway I was getting out in that scuffle. I knew it was going to be a bad year for it. I used to like going out on Black Friday but not so much anymore. It has become stupid. I have a friend that works at Walmart and they said a boy opening boxes got cut because the crowd swarmed him while he was opening stuff to stock the shelves. It is a shame but I knew that everyone would be fighting for everything they thought they could get a deal on. Take care.

Sad the greed that people feel around this time of year makes then behave worse then a bunch of animals. It's sad that fellow human-beings treat each other this way over something as stupid as a TV or laptop. I don't care how good a sale is it is no way to act. I read on Yahoo news that the woman turned herself into the authorities. I hope she does some jail time. That is no less then she deserves for allowing her greed to get the better of her. She should be ashamed of herself.

yep I wrote an article about that story yesterday. the incident was in los angeles. I also wrote about the chicago hospital shooting, new guidelines for mammogram screening and the new government in Egypt.

I am sorry to say this, but it is one time I am so glad that I am Canadian! Finally, now that I have satellite, I can see the "insanity" that reigns at this time in Uncle Sam's country! No savings, is worth your life! Or compromising your life! Canadians are known for "cross-border" shopping...but this year a move was afoot for Canadians NOT to attend Black Friday! Once the NEWS media got a hold of this in Bellingham & Seattle, Washington--for three days before Black Friday, we were mocked and chagined for our stupidity...NOT getting into this stupid frey! The disrespect on these newscasts...made me feel like I was being assaulted by the entire U.S. It was really painful .....and hurtful! Makes me think twice about ever visiting again! Sorry, bunnybon...but had to vent!

THis same thing happened in California and was in another discussion. I hope they get her too. People are SOOO selfish now days. Assault it is. It is a crazy world. So fast paced and people are so self serviing and self involved. Leaving kids in the toy department so they can shop. THis reminds me of daydreams I have had but I would never really do it!

I heard about the pepper spray incident at Wal-Mart and I was absolutely outraged about it. Is it really so important to save a few dollars that you have to cause physical harm to other people to save the money? As far as what happened here, there was a fist fight at the Wal-Mart that I went to over some pogo sticks. I don't understand it at all, but until the pallet was unwrapped there were police posted around that particular pallet.

What a crazy thing, this Black Friday. And in the media it goes almost like a legend. I,m not American, I live on the other side of the Atlantic and yet I know everything about it. And when I see on TV crowds of people rushing into a big store, towing mountains of stuff... Yes, the discounts are really crazy, I've never seen prices like this in my country. But do they need all this stuff? I'm glad that you were safe away from this, Bynnybon! Have a nice day.

Black Friday is for the crazy people and the morons. That's a good day to stay at home, relax, enjoy a good movie, or come here to MyLot. We do live in a crazy world and people leave their brains at home when they go shopping. It is a strange phenomenon.

Lol, that's funny. I always wanted to go out on black friday just to watch the mayhem. But even driving down the street that day is potentially lethal then old women will shoot you for parking. It's really how pathetic how most of the time people act like they are so civilized and what not. Yet they'll fight someone tooth and nail to buy something they don't need at 60% off. The best part is the blued haired old women going psycho. It brings me much laughter.

That sort of thing never happened here in our city, Because the thing here is that when the mall here holds a sale, They do this thing wherein they make a Buy 1 Take 1 Item into twice the normal price of the item, so its virtually not even a sale at all. Anyway with regards to what you said. Thats like so crazy! I really havent heard of people doing pepper spray and stuff to other people just because of a sale. That's downright desperate.

This kind of thing could not happen if we did not let ourselves be willing participants in a society of greed and self-gratification. It's been building for years with retailers playing on our obsessive need to give bigger and more expensive gifts. People spend themselves into debt every Christmas and for what? For a day's worth of entertainment. Incidents like this are what we get for letting retailers turn a wonderful celebration into a hedonistic festival of greed. We can see the effects of our rejection of spiritual values in all areas of society.

I heard she gave herself up to the police and they let her go. If that is true, the police are almost as nutty as the wacky deal-seeking woman.

Wow ~ I can't imagine such things people do to each other . To kill/assault for what? a discounted object . This is clearly a reflection of how low the poor goes down for a measly discount. I don't want obnoxious but clearly shopper like that should be shunned . I belong to a third wold country but where i see it we have more shopping ethics than that woman.
