My big family celebration is in two weeks. This year we are passing on the gift exchange just because we all have so much. I however have always made just a little something for everyone that comes. THis year its Hershey's candy bar that look like snowmen. They are very easy to do...and fun! Do you have a little project you are working on?

I am having a difficult time imagining what that would look like. I am not working on any crafts, though I wish I were a crafty person. Not that I can even think of anyone I'd give a homemade gift to.

Oh that's adorable! You are so talented. Wish things like that were sold in stores.. my kids would get a kick out of finding those in their stockings!

No, none in the works. I was hoping to but I haven't found a snowflake pattern I like and I need time to be able to concentrate on doing it w/o being pestered by a kid, pet, or anything else. So I've really just been making hats cause the kids are growing out of the ones I have had. I've made some cute ones BUT my camera is MIA and I don't know how to use hubby's phone to take pics.

But alteast you can still take pictures. The one thing I hate not having access to is a camera, the kids grow so fast I hate not being able to take pics of them doing things.

Hi Jill, I am not crafty like you but this week I will start to write letters to go in cards for Christmas and also have lots of small tumbler glasses which I will fill the bottom of with very colourful pebbles (the sort that you put at the bottom of a fish tank) and then I will place cutting of moeny tree plants and spider plants that I have which will make for my sons teachers and neighbours. Huggles Ellie :D

I keep some kind of project in the works all of the time. I like to crochet in the evenings when I'm watching tv. Don't have any particular ideas in mind for gifts. I've already got a stash of completed projects for that.
I'm trying to find a pattern for a crochet fedora. Have noticed that the fedora is in style for women this year. They should sell well if I can find a venue for that.

YES, and the answer is BIG FUZZY SCARVES! I found a bunch of the Fun Fur Yarn for sale at my local AC Moore store, and I couldn't resist! I am knitting big fuzzy scarves for everyone and they are really easy if you can knit...
I Use REALLY big needles and cast on 20 stitches. Just keep on KNITTING! If you are quick you can bang some pretty cool knitted stuff out with the Fun Fur, and everyone loves the feel.
Thanks for the question!

Nothing planned for this year as we can not afford it. We will either pick up a little something for the grandkids or I will make something homemade for them. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
Hugs

Thank you Jill, hope you had a nice day of crafting/stitching. It has been dreary here the past couple of days.

I would Love to see a picture of these, and a pattern if you have one. This totally sounds cute. I have never really given out to family members items that I have made. I have given them to like my God daughter, and some others though who I do know will enjoy them. But anytime you can save on $$ for Christmas ideas is great.

I am crocheting hats and then needlefelting flowers to put on the hats. I think they'll make cute gifts for my younger cousins.

Your project sounds so cute. I really would like to see the finished snowmen. I do love to see new projects however I never attempt anything new unless it has to do with plastic canvas.
I have done nothing this year in the craft department. Been busy with other things and just haven't had the time. I do have coasters I made last year that turned out real cute so that will be of some help to give to others. My goal this year is to try to learn how to crochet. I can knit but only basic projects that are simple.
Happy holidays to you,
carolbee

I'd love to be able to do some Christmas crafts, but I really don't have a table set up in here. There is just no room for one. LOL There was always an interesting craft workshop at church where we did different things, but I have not seen one in a long time. I remember making a really neat advent wreath one year, and a clay angel wearing an evergreen wreath, another.

My kids made ornaments for the tree. My 3 year old son colored a picture that we cut out and poked a hole in for the yarn. It hangs a bit crooked. My daughter went to Michael's with her aunt. They have free craft events for the kids on Saturdays. They made a Rudolph ornament. Someone must have thought our tree was a bit bare!

So far, I don't have any holiday crafts that I've worked on this year. What I really want to do is to make new stockings for my children and I'm going to have to make them by hand because my sewing machine doesn't work and it isn't worth having repaired (I'm hoping to get a new one sometime next year).
This year there has been a lot going on and that has significantly cut down my crafting time. I will, however, also go and help my mother with her holiday baking this year.

Well, I had a project I wanted to do to give for Christmas, but between having my feet knocked out from under me (so to speak) and not being able to find the stuff to make them, and not really having any money to buy the parts, looks like I'm hitting my jewelry stock for gifts again...

The only crafts things that i do is make a few cards and to be honest i have not been well to do those.I usually go to make a few cards with a friend of mine, but as i have had a really bad cold, i have not been near her to even make any with her, as she has high white cell count problem and gets really ill.I hope to get to see her in a week or so, as i have a few ideas that we can both make.Other than cards i do not do any other craft.
