I just read an online article, http://realestate.yahoo.com/promo/the-home-at-the-top-of-a-volcano.html, about a home, quite space-age in appearance, that was built on top of a volcano! It's a fabulous home, but I am not sure I would not fear it being active. It states, "Still lingering on the market for its initial ask of $750K, the two-bedroom, two-bathroom main house features a dome formed from concrete and bent-fir beams and grounded by glass walls; inside, a conversation pit keeps things centered around a fireplace." Well, I can imagine why it's still not purchased, can you?!!

No way, one thing humans have to learn is we can not beat nature, I have often wondered why people keep re building in folld areas it was good to see here in Australia in a flood area the whole town is moving up to a safer area but with this time of nature reacting in many ways all over the world, there is no way I would build anywhere near a volcano.

I like where I live. We do not, usually, have any major, natural disasters. Maybe a bad snow storm, or high winds. No volcanoes, a very rare tornado, but in low lying areas, and minimal flooding with many rains, near the creeks and rivers. No way would I play Russian Roulette with my home.

Honestly, who's the crazy architect who build that??? He's crazy enough not to realize that no one would consider living on top of a volcano, and take not, away from civilization!

Amen to that! You have to be crazy, and I am NOT shocked that it's still up for sale! LOL

I don't think that I would want to live on a volcano. It's not the sort the sort of place that I want to live in. It's also probably not the sort of place that I would feel comfortable live in, considering that the location is on a volcano. Like you said, it's not difficult to imagine why it's still not purchased.
