Good day fellow mylotters,
I used to post educational links to my facebook wall. And I do this frequently as I loved to give and share the knowledge that I have learned. However, I just noticed that, although the topic that I have shared is educational and useful, it seems like nobody press the "Like Button". Aside from that, I also noticed that, those links which is not truly recommended and useful are the ones who get the most likes. With regards to this, sometimes, I am thinking, I will not waste another time to post educational and useful links as these were just ignored. Hence, I will just post instead a simple picture that don't really gives any information.

hello,
Yeah, I agree. I am one of the Facebook like-rs sometimes I look for something that really attract my eyes which is more interesting. Something that is different to others. Maybe you should put that to your link. So, that your friends will be attracted in your link. Youth nowadays are for looking for fun not for educational because for us it seems really boring. No offense.

Hi airasheila!
If we talk about facebook, I only have one conclusion to this. Popularity. If you have many online friends, then for sure, you will get many "likes" even if your post is just as random as a daylight. If you don't have many friends, even if you post something informative, say something that could save the world , it is likely that your post will just get ignored. That is my take on most social networking sites. The larger your network is, the more attention you will get.

my opinion about this is, I guess your friends are not really interested in the educational and useful links that you post.
Base on my experience in Facebook, there are alot of my friends that like almost anything that i post, then after they leave a comment we ended up making a very long conversation. and some actually start complaining because why do we have to talk so much there when we can do it through the chat. and If I post something which is very different to other people, I don't get noticed, so I guess It really depends on the topic that you have and the kind of interest your friends have

Its complicated -)
You are also active on facebook ? I means that you responds on your friends status, give likes, write statement without links that will help to get more peolple they like you and than also give you like when you publish a link
You also write a statement near the link ? That will be help to get more likes.
You write on your wall or you write on your fanpage ? A fanpage will be effectivy because the people they like the page are intresting in your information.
Much succes !

My take on this subject is that if you are giving knowledge away, and you enjoy doing it, keep doing it. I would suggest that you try to become friends with others on Facebook, and see if that helps. It can't hurt any.
