My father was actually the one who told me about this film. He said it's a must-see, and knowing my father, he wouldn't say a film is worth watching unless it truly is.
He was right, the movie was great and Will Smith's performance was undoubtedly brilliant and realistic. I think he was able to feel his character more because of his kid in real life who was also in the movie. It was inspiring and truly touching.

yeah very heart touching film indeed,this film tells us about the hardships a father has to face for his child and family and he tries to do his job of making the family prosperous and happy

My former co-worker told me that Cinderella Man made him cry because he could relate to the movie somehow. He was also struggling for his kid and wife. Then I told him to watch Pursuit Of Happyness.
The next day, he told me I was so mean to tell him to watch the movie, he said it made him cry like a baby, he liked it though. :D

Yes you are right. I also agree with you. This was one of the best drama I have ever seen. In my opinion this was the best movie of will smith. He has done many great movies but this one was like way ahead of the rest. Its a great movie and will smith acted like its the end of the worls. He is just awesome. I cant explain how good he was. His son in this movie also in real life has done a pretty good job too. All the performance was so realistic. I love this movie so so much. everyone should watch this movie.

Hi Lassie!
I watched this movie a long time ago. And it really made me cry. Will Smith's performance here was impressive. During that time, I have not seen him in any dramatic roles. I've only seen him in action movies. So when I watched that, I was really amazed on his versatility as an actor. 
His son was impressive, too. I liked him there. (But I did not like him in Karate Kid)

The Pursuit of Happyness is a great film, it is an inspiring and touching film. A sensitive subject like father-son relation is hard to make with a story showed in The Pursuit of Happyness, I have to say Will Smith and the kid acted really well to make this film a must see ..
