Do you have/want to get a tattoo? Did you ever regret having one?

Hello MyLotters! I'm a big fan of tattoos, they are amazing to me ever since I was a child. I'm thinking of getting one, as soon as I earn some money. And yes, I'll definitely get one, I want the same picture for more than two years now. The picture has a meaning for me(two actually) and it's looks nice (if not badass) and I don't think I'll ever regret having one, even when I'm old. I'll tattoo it on my right calf(on the side, not on the back of the calf) at some guy in my town that is very good and I've heard only good stuff for him, he's really talented. What about you? Do you want to get a tattoo? Which one and where? Or if you do have a tattoo/tattoos already, have you ever regretted having one? Have fun and happy MyLotting!

Oh no never, for one I don't really like them females and the main reason I wouldn't even get a little one is I am not into pain, I would probably faint

I understand that for a lot of people pain discourages them in making a tattoo, especially for a female. But since I'm male I can handle it, and I don't care how much it hurts, I'll get one and nothing can stop me. But some tattoos look really nice on females, depends on the place where the tattoo is and on the tattoo itself.

our artist said that men seem to find it more painful than women do.

Really? I don't know, maybe it depends on which place it is put? Or it doesn't matter? Whatever I'm not scared of a little bit of pain..

Hello~ I do have, two actually. One on the back and my ankle (anklet type and both are rose design, coz it has to do with my name). It's not that i regret having them, I'm more on the worried side coz what if i get old and how will it look like then. But what else can i do, it's already imprinted in my body and i dont want to remove it coz it will only cause keloid which is more unsightly. So to all who are thinking of getting tatoos, think twice or even many times before doing it coz it will stay in your skin permanently and most of all, the needle hurts..it really does :)

That's why I've given myself time to think about it and I think that two years are enough of thinking for me. I don't care about what will it look like when I'm old. Once I'm old I'm not going to look like anything so I don't care if my tattoo will look good or not..

I don't have it, I might want it but I am not getting one. My "tastes" change to often and I would really like a tattoo that means something to me. But as I "change" quite often I just can't find an image that would suit me. Alas there is still time. I think tattoos can look amazing on a person but they can also look horrible. P.S.: I have sent you a friend request - regarding the task you accepted - since it seems you are able to message me and I can't reply because we are not friends on mylot :) - weird system.

I've been thinking a lot of getting a rat tattoo, and I've found a design I like, but I'm not sure where I would want to get it. I'll probably never get one though, because I'm sort of a BIG baby when it comes to pain, and nobody will ever convince me that getting a tattoo isn't painful.

Where you will put your tattoo maybe depends on some factors, like if you can put your tattoo on some very visible place for everyone to see, but you can't put it there because of the job you're doing, or if you want to tattoo it somewhere intimate to keep it just for you.

I don't have a tattoo, and I will never think to have one.It sounds painful to be tattooed.I don't wanna see the needle get into my skin.:) I don't want to have tattoo because I heard that many companies don't want to have employees with tattoo.

A lot of people are afraid of needles, just when they need to get one shot at a doctors. These tattoo needles can tattoo you at I think around 200 rounds per minute, if not more. It sounds painful just when you think of it, so I understand your fears. Yeah, especially if you're working in economic fields or some office job, that's why I'm going to put it somewhere where it will remain hidden during my job..

Well maybe when you find something that's beautiful to you, you'll get over the pain and go get yourself a tattoo and then admire yourself because you have done something you wanted and went through some pain to get it.

I have three that I love, and I hope to have more in the future. obviously I don't regret any of them. they're lovely. I don't think that they hurt that much. well the one on my foot was pretty painful, but not so bad that I ever thought about not going through with it. it's now my favourite one, so it was definitely worth the discomfort.

I'm planning on starting with just this one, and then later we'll see, probably I'll get more, I just have to put them somewhere where they aren't so easily seen, so I can find a job ( here nobody wants to hire you if you have a tattoo). I guess things that hurt us turn out to be the best in the end :D

I actually do have a tattoo. It's on the back of my shoulder. I don't regret it at all. I really do love it. I got it three years ago and I've never regretted getting it. I took the time to think about getting the tattoo.

Shoulder tattoos are also nice to me, I'll probably tattoo myself on the back too, when I firstly tattoo my leg and when I decide about the next one. Yeah, I'm thinking about this tattoo for two years and I'm pretty sure I want it.

Nowhere . I find the human body perfect without being pained in pictures . I dont find the woman body better with such painting and lets say scars on the body . I think its personal choice , but i prefer not to see them , i dont find them interesting or at least reasonable . The simple painting is not a problem because it wash but this , this is for life and on top of that its bad for your skin and health :)

I see it just as an addition to our perfect bodies, like a permanent accessory to your body, just like a necklace or ring :D As for health, there are a lot of worse stuff that affect my health and skin way more, so a small tattoo doesn't concern me much.

I got the tattoo itch years ago and went for it. My tatoo was placed on my ankle and is of a panther. When I picked the tatoo I didn't think of any significance I just thought it was unique. The experience was painful a constant sharp stinging on your flesh. At least your tatoo means something to you so it makes the experience worth while. No pain, No gain...

Well I don't have any problems against people that tattoo themselves just for fun, I've read on some forums people who talk bad about others that just tattooed themselves for fun, and they didn't put a tattoo which has a meaning for them. I think-if you want it, get it. Doesn't matter if it looks nice to you or it has a big meaning, if it's a nice tattoo and you like then why you shouldn't have it..

I have never gotten a tattoo and I do not think I will ever get one. I think tattoos are pretty cool though. It is a form of self expression and people feel unique when they have tattoos. I respect those people with tattoos mainly because they are so daring and adventurous enough to get one.

I don't currently have any tattoos, but I am definitely getting one. I have been thorough a lot over the last 4 years, and my life has been through many changes. It's felt like a "rebirth," so I am going to get a Phoenix tattoo put on my back. I would suggest you do a lot of research and visit tattoo studios to view the work of the artists before making your final decision. If you are in the USA you may also want to check for reviews on Yelp.com to help with your decision.
