The Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov put the United Kingdom's knickers in a right painful twist if you are to believe what you read in the Daily Mail and the comments section which is paranoia gold. The 'facts' as stated in the article are that the Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov pulled to within 30 miles of Scotland to shelter from bad weather and indulge in a bit of fly-tipping into the sea. The HMS York was scrambled to the situation. Apparently, there have been big cutbacks in the UK's military budget, and the Admiral Kuznetsov is ten times the size of the HMS York. I highly doubt the Russians are going to fire on the UK's ship. A fly-tip on the sly is something else again. Personally, I suspect it's a bear dropping an ahem in the woods. Here's a link to the story and below, in the comment section, the painfully twisted knickers. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2073901/HMS-York-scrambled-Scotland-Russian-fleet-security-scare.html

you know, I had to look up "fly-tipping" because its not a term we use about the States... now that I know it, I'll try to use it...

When you go trawling in the "Daily Mail's" colorful sea, you never know what little words, phrases, or sayings stow away in your pocket.
