I had really hoped that I could just send internet cards this year, but no such luck. I always buy me paper cards after Christmas and never remember what I brought until I get them out for the next year. Since several friends sent paper cards this year I was very glad to see I made a good selection last year. Maybe soon everyone I know will have Internet.

Now in the internet age all of us just depend on the internet to communicate with one another. I hardly know the postal addresses of people to send paper cards. So for most of my friends and family I will be depending totally on e cards, smses or the most close ones with telephone calls.

I too intended to send at least a few e-cards and ended up sending all card ones! Oh, dear! It will be a sad day when there are no cards to put up as part of the Christmas decs!

So far I have only received one paper card and I have written one. I plan on writing two more, the rest of my friends and I exchange email greetings. In the past I sent more than 30 handwritten cards to my friends from my own country and my friends from other countries. I also received a huge pile of handwritten cards each year, but those days are gone. I was a happy to receive the paper card that my friend sent me, but I know that I am never going to send and receive as many handwritten paper cards as I did in the past.

Ahh, I love getting cards, only problem is I am a real hoarder and probably have most birthday and christmas cards since I was young. Stupid, but just a habit that I can't seem to let go off lol. I'm not very good at remembering to send cards though, have never sent an ecard but probably should look into it as I reckon it would be a lot quicker considering I live in Australia and am posting to Ireland. I just don't think it very personal to the recipient though especially family!

I'm just the opposite. I enjoy sending real cards and really love getting them. Unfortunately, I've only received one this year but that one card made my day. I'm hoping for more. I love to see them up on my mantel because it's tangible proof that I have people that love me. Email cards just aren't the same--I like getting them but I can't look at them as I sit in my living room in the evening. Printing is just too expensive so I don't print them. I love getting something other than bills in the mail, especially around Christmas.
I send cards for every occasion, I love writing in them and making them more personal. I know that email is convenient and saves money but I guess that's one old fashioned custom I don't want to give up.
I hope you gets lots of e-cards!

I love ecards. That´s something I can do. Real paper cards are a pain. I write them, write down the envelope and then never post them. Then there´s the guilty feeling. I have not seen this year´s internet cards, but when I get to it, it will take me a small amount of time.

I am not a fan of regular cards either. I would rather have them sent electronically. But, people do still send paper card. So, here I am again sending them. Oh well, it's not that bad. But I now have a new app on my iPhone that I can create a card right on the phone, and have it sent directly from Apple. No, it's not electronic, it is a custom made card that they send for me anywhere in the country. Nice.
