How do you know if a guy likes you?

You might have read a previous post I made regarding my being an NBSB (haha :D). So to be honest, please forgive me for these kinds of questions as I am truly clueless about all these love-related matters. What I love about Mylot is the anonymity, so I'm gonna ask here what I couldn't ask my family or my friends because topics like these just make me feel embarrassed..hahaha :D.
So basically, my question is posted as the subject of this post. How is a girl supposed to know if a guy likes her? You see, I get teased a lot of times by my friends, officemates, and family and they attempt to pair me up with several guys just so that I would be able to "graduate" from my NBSB status. They sometimes tell me that they feel that a certain guy likes me or something but I am just not sure how they were able to say that. I ask them what gave them that conclusion and they just say that they just feel it in their bones or something.
So the point of the matter is, I need your opinions on this matter. :)

If a guy is more than eager to spend time with you, that is a good sign he likes you. We're kind of like a puppy dog, once we like you we follow you everywhere.

Hmmm..thanks for your response. I'll watch out for this. I actually find the comparison to a puppy dog kinda cute.. hehe

How does it differ from being just friendly or polite? It would be too embarrassing to assume that the guy likes you when he is just being friendly or is just being a good team player.

That is the one clear cut sign that a guy is into you, when he goes out of his way to spend time with you. Also gifts, if he seems generous then more than likely he has an interest in you.

I think you can feel a vibe when someone is interested in you, its just an inner feeling, your inner voice so to speak, I think body language is a pretty good sign as well, but again it is the vibe you feel.

I think I would just have to watch out for those signs o body language. The problem is, you can't be absolutely sure until he says it himself, don't you think? Or else, I'd just end up with false assumptions and that would be quite sad.
