The Pros and Cons of Two-timing

The Cons: I get tired a lot. I don't sleep much. The stress is doubled. And, I finally conclude I prefer women over men.
Now, hold that thought...
The Pros: I got 2 bonuses for Christmas! I have started to ease my debts. Nights are better than days.
Well, of course I was referring to having TWO full-time jobs. What were you thinking?
More cons: No time for exercise. No time for sleep. In bed. It has to be in the couch, or else, if it's in the bed, I might wake up very late and miss either job.
More pros: My night job is such a stress reliever compared to my day job. And, yes, I've realized I prefer women bosses over men bosses (or maybe there's only one particular man boss I totally abhor) because my night managers are a peach compared to my satan's twin day boss. And, because the very hectic life I've been living, I've discovered what stuff I'm made of. Hey, I could be resilient enough if I tried!
So, to make this discussion worthy, what would you do if it were you - would you give up either job or still continue such a frenzied life? Why?
How about you, what have been your work experiences this year?
Oh, I am reminded that having two jobs makes me miss my mylot time. Maybe that is a bad thing?

i like this discussion. you led me to believe in a different direction, but i laughed it out in the end. having two fulltime jobs at this challenging times is a blessing for you. while others struggle to find one, you have two jobs. hold them while you can. but do not sacrifice your body and social life. somehow they will be compromised but make it clear that they are important.

Been there. done that, but I had long commutes on top of it. Kept telling myself that 4 or 5 hours sleep is more than enough. Ya right! It's not near enough. I was so stressed that I had every minute scheduled to maximize my sleep. I didn't waste one second. It was up and out in 5 minutes flat. I even had going to the toilet scheduled. Managed about 6 months then I had to change. How long can a human go without getting 6-8 hours sleep?

That's right. Fortunately for some people, 4 to 6 hours sleep is enough. Unfortunately for me, I need around 6-7 hours. Sometimes I do get to sleep that much, but it's not continuous sleep, like 3 hours before night job, 1-2 hours before day job, 1 hour during lunch break. Most times, when I get lucky and work fast, I meet the quota immediately and get 2-3 hours snoozed during night job. Such a crazy life. I hope I can get out of it this year.

Hello glory,
First of all Happy and prosperous New Year to you.
For the double work, I can't do it. I am struggling with my day work plus kids, house chorus etc. Already I lack time to finish day time work. I won't even think two jobs as I have enough other responsibilities dear.
How you can manage two jobs, please take care of your health too.

Happy New Year, to you, too!!!
Luckily for me, I have no other responsibilities yet, so, I can manage to have two jobs. Although, my night job is project based, so, we only go to work when there's a project for us. But, for December we've been busy.
It's a good thing there's always weekends, because I get to really sleep well.

Okay! You had me there! Humor is a funny trait for women.
Two full time jobs? That should be sixteen hours of work and the time to commute! How do you manage your time? I work in steel industry and am exhausted with one job. That is frenzied enough for me, thank you! With 2282 responses and counting, you are doing good on myLot, despite the jobs. I admire you lady!

If schedule and my health permits, I would definitely do it haha. With all the needs and wants, I need more moolah! But seriously, like what I always say, you can work all you want but make sure your health isn't sacrificed. And don't stress yourselt too much of your day boss. He's not worth it hehe.

Very clever word play at the start!
I don't know what you mean by 'full-time' in terms of hours, but if it's anything like 40 hrs x 2 then you are working far too long. All work and no play makes Jack/Jill a dull boy/girl. If you are desperate for the money, then it's OK in the short-term, but it will have an affect on your health if you continue. Work hard, play hard and plenty rest in between is my advice.

full time meaning, yes, 40 hours a week for each job. But, my night job is an on and off thing because we report only when there's a project. So there are weeks and even months we don't report for work at all. It's just that December has been really busy and I've been working real hard.
