hai, kerry. Actually the times are such that one is inclined to simply look away and go about one's business! But I believe that one should not forget one's own background. I would definitely give him one if I had it on my person. I am not merely trying to show my genorosity. It has happened to me! There were times when I was careless with my money and lost it, or it was stolen from my. I had to ask strangers for money! So I always remember those unpleasant situations I had and react. If I dont have money to spare, I simply say 'sorry' and proceed on my way.

I agree with you, in todays world a lot of ppl would just walk away without a second thought. If I had it I would give it to them. If I didn't I would say sorry I don't have it. I like helping out others. Thank you for your reply :)

There are so many con artists out there, I would just walk away. I believe most of those people are better off than they let on. I just don't trust them! Besides, I don't want to let on that I'm carrying cash (which I don't normally do, so I wouldn't generally have a dollar to give them anyways) because then I'm just setting myself up to be robbed!! Thankfully, I currently live in an area where we don't see beggers (at all!!), but I grew up in a big city with beggers on every street cornor, so I'm wary of them!

This is a very good point you make her. You never really know if they really do need it or not. Still I would give them the dollar if they asked and i really thought that they needed it. Thank you for your reply :)

it would depend on what he would want it for.

It would depend on the stranger. If it was a needy person i would give it to him. Or better still i would buy him a meal whcih would be worth more than a dollar

It would depend on the situation, and if I had a dollar to give them, and felt it was the right thing to do. Honestly, maybe we should always ask ourselves, "What would Jesus Do?" and then go from there.

i give when i can, i always see these few at the cornor by a store i go to. all of the men that stand there are missng limbs, which leads me to beleave that at one time they probably fought for our country. unfortunatly i have seen what happens after our men and women leave there time after the war, they dont get the help, they dont get there medical needs met all the time, and alot of them are left with little money from the goverment. ive seen my father in-law pass from an illness with no help from the goverment except for a bed in the hospital, ive seen my own father suffer from ptsd from wars past, he gets no help from our goverment. its sad but true and i pray that some day things will change. i also beleave that Gods watching us do onto others what we would want done unto us. if i was doe=wn and out i would hope someone would be there to help me stranger or not. not everyone this day and age can find a good job and not everyone can pay rent or mortgage, i pay twelev hundred a month in mortgage and trust me my house is no better then anyone elses i live in a single family home. its crazy what the govement expexts us to survive on. sorry i went on but ive seen to much to ignore my feelings. God bless
